Parked up patiently

As part of your daily DriveClub bulletin, Evolution Studios has said that it will announce the release date of the game’s hotly anticipated PlayStation Plus version when it has “concrete information” to share. The first-party studio – which also apologised for the delay – added that while it’s now getting on top of the server bug that has marred the exclusive racer’s launch, it still has work to do.

“We can see that the majority of you can now get online, but we know that at peak times of the day it can still be hard to get connected, so we are still working to improve connectivity with every update to the servers,” a company spokesperson wrote on Facebook. “We will continue to keep you up to speed with the improvements that we make.”

Elsewhere, the Runcorn-based company shed a little more light on what actually went wrong with the title almost two weeks ago. “These connectivity issues stem from the same unforeseen server problem that we've been working to get on top of since we launched, and while we’re getting on top of the problem now, we’re still working around the clock to keep improving gameplay for you.”

Have you given up on the overdue arcade racer at this point, or are you enjoying the game despite the speed bumps that have impeded its launch? Honk your horn louder than everyone else in the comments section below.
