In one of the most memorable moments from Sony's phenomenal E3 press conference last year, Adam Boyes took to the stage and demonstrated the Japanese giant's commitment to indie developers by showcasing nine titles for the PlayStation 4 and Vita. And now, on the eve of E3 2014, the platform holder has released a short video which catches up with some of those studios.
All of the featured developers emphatically state that taking part in last year's showcase has significantly improved their prospects. But apart from the praise for the company's more open and welcoming approach, the interviewees also discuss how easy the PS4 has been to develop for. In particular, Jake Kazadal – the creative lead at 17-BIT – notes that his team managed to get strategic shooter Galak-Z running smoothly on the console within one day, which is an impressive feat by any standard.
Would you like Sony to continue its commitment to helping out the little guy, or is AAA the only way to go? Do you think that we have a slew of indies waiting for us next week? Self publish in the comments section below.

Yeah, keep helping out those little guys! Naughty Dog used to be even smaller than some of these companies, and look where they are now. Keep supporting them, and great things will happen.
Honestly sonys big indie support is why I decided on a PS4 versus a one or a PC.
Definitely help out the indy devs because that's where the creativity is at its best with smaller devs willing to take risks and in the long run it also helps AAA development find something new that hasn't been churned out a million times before
Nice viddy. I'm still excited to eventually play octodad and secret ponchos interests me. Outlast was pretty decent too. The love in is nice but all that matters is good games.
@sajoey Agreed @ReigningSemtex Exactly
I'm looking forward to more indies being announced. I also hope for more games announced for June, July, and August. The two indies I'm most exited for is Drifter and Ironclad Tactics (I hope they get released this summer).
Currently in NA the PS4 has 77 games available (that includes Skylanders and Freedom Cry standalone game). I think Xbox One is in the mid 40's total. So Sony is offering more variety for gamers even if not all the games are top notch. I prefer variety because there will be many gamers who will buy the not so popular titles and enjoy them.
Cheers!!

I hope this means their E3 will focus on big announcements.
Sony should support everyone lol! These little indies should be able to turnaround games faster and bring in quick and fast cashflow, unlike the big budget games. Plus these guys and gals deserve our mullah for their hard work
@shingi_70 Refreshing to hear mate, the comments on Youtube & IGN leave you feeling depressed, but then again my fault for reading them lol
Was going to pick up UFC this month but I might as well go for transistor, Octodad, and Valient Hearts.
Yes carry on helping the little people!! I for one love playing indie games!! 😋
Cannot wait for Galak-Z, The Binding of Isaac Rebirth, Minecraft, and Rogue Legacy, among others.
