The sequel to Team GrisGris’ outstanding PlayStation Portable exclusive Corpse Party is coming to the PlayStation Network this winter. Corpse Party: Book of Shadows features a collection of eight self-contained scenarios set in the shadowy Corpse Party universe.
“[The sequel is] divided into eight chapters, each of which tells its own self-contained short story,” XSEED’s Tom Lipschultz said on the PlayStation Blog. “Some of them help fill in the blanks of what happened during crucial off-camera scenes from the original game. Others go into the back-story of various characters, helping to flesh them out and make their roles in the series mythos a bit clearer. Still others ask 'what if?,' presenting an alternate version of events from the first game in which characters who previously died are kept alive and given a fleeting chance to stay that way.”
The original Corpse Party stands alongside the first Silent Hill and Resident Evil titles as one of the scariest games we’ve ever played, so you should really try it out this Hallowe’en if you get the chance. Thankfully, XSEED is giving you the perfect excuse, by reducing the title to $9.99 in North America. Just make sure you play it after midnight with headphones on for the full experience.

I really liked this game and look forward to the sequel!
Corpse Party is the first thing I bought when I got my Vita. Just fantastic. If you like scary things you should definitely buy this while it's on sale.
I'm excited to hear about the sequel. But I probably won't get it day one. I'll probably wait and make sure the response is just as positive.
I'm waiting for Corpse Party to drop to $9.99 on the PS Store.
@Squiggle55 - From what I've heard and seen (YouTube for example) it is as good as the main game. I'll certainly buy it when it comes to the European PSN.
Why not vita dammit!?
I'm more excited that the original is only going to be $9.99 soon. I'll download it the moment the game is discounted!
