The heavily rumoured LEGO Lord of the Rings is now a reality. Warner Bros revealed the fantasy franchise’s transition from books to blocks this afternoon, alongside a new trailer to cement the news.
Similarly to LEGO Batman 2: DC Superheroes, the plastic protagonists have now been granted the ability to talk. But instead of using new voice actors, developer Traveller’s Tales has decided to snip sound bites out of the films – which makes for an interesting, if a little unusual effect.
The game’s set to span all three movies (or novels if you’re a bookworm), and will once again offer a heavy emphasis on co-operative play. You can catch the debut trailer embedded in the space below.

fun!
Dats a giant ring!
Personally I think voice acting won't be as good ;( Maybe in this game but they are adding it to LEGO Batman II and probably the rest of the LEGO games. I like the funny silent expressions they make to act out the movie or show or whatever.
@gambitttt I prefer the lack of voices too.
Woah...I guess it was only a matter of time. And yet, I'm sure I'll be playing this. Still find these darn LEGO games so addictive!
Not sure how I feel about the use of voices either...I'm reserving judgment for now.
