Ubisoft’s oft-delayed Ghost Recon: Future Soldier has fired straight to the top of the UK sales charts. The shooter beat out strong competition from a slew of new releases, including Dragon’s Dogma and DiRT Showdown – both of which debuted in the top five.

Future Soldier’s first week sales were stronger than any previous instalment in the series, though Chart Track notes that this is due to the staggered release of previous entries.

Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock broke through the barriers of time in order to secure a spot in 34th position. Meanwhile, there was no room for Sony’s brilliant PlayStation Move exclusive Sorcery, which failed to break the top 40.
