Decide the Fate of the Canvas as Maelle or Verso in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33?

Having defeated Renoir for the final time, Maelle and Verso pass through into the Canvas. With the two opposing each other in this moment, you must choose to either Fight as Maelle or Fight as Verso. When you pick one, you'll be fighting the other in battle.

When you come out on top, the other will turn into dust and you'll be locked into a vastly different ending from the other option. No matter which one you choose, you'll still be able to return to the open world and continue exploring after the credits — this decision has no impact on that. You're purely picking which character you want to side with and then viewing their ending cutscene.

Having seen both outcomes, we would personally Fight as Maelle, so to see some returning characters. However, the choice is yours, and ultimately it only affects what cutscene you see next. No Trophies are impacted by the decision, and you can still continue playing afterwards.
