You can always count on Milestone to deliver consistent, good quality motorcycle racers, and MotoGP 21 is no exception. The developer has been building these officially licensed racing titles for years, and this is the latest example of the Italian developer's work, with all the up to date teams and drivers. A sprawling career mode takes you through the racing season as you'd expect, and the racing itself is fast and challenging.

Wreckfest has migrated over from PS4 to PS5, and it's better than ever on Sony's new console. This is a racer that puts an emphasis on destruction, with full contact races, destruction derbies, and all kinds of crazy events to look forward to. The damage modelling is some of the best in the biz, and the driving is a fun, throwabout experience. With lots of vehicles to collect, tons of varied events, and online multiplayer, this is a beefy and satisfying racing game.
Formula One is a super popular motorsport, so it's a good thing that the games are great, isn't it? This latest iteration from Codemasters is yet another excellent sim racer that plays differently to anything else on the list. Full blown career modes are fun to work through, especially with a buddy, and the story mode is a hammy but enjoyable introduction to the world of F1. Super-tight handling and lovely presentation make this a premium experience.
2. WRC 10 (PS5)
WRC 10 is the latest officially licensed rally simulator, and it's another great success for developer KT Racing. It features almost everything from the current season in its robust career mode, but adds to that with a bunch of 50th anniversary cars and courses to enjoy. While the handling is relatively forgiving, tearing across treacherous tracks a hair's breadth from disaster is a thrilling drive, and it feels amazing when you pull it off. Lots of fun — and it makes great use of the DualSense, too.
1. DIRT 5 (PS5)
DIRT 5 just about comes out on top, but it's a close race. For us, this arcadey off-roader offers up the most fun driving experience on PS5. Featuring varied events and vehicles taking you to all corners of the globe, there's lots to see and do, and it all feels fantastic thanks to the fun handling model. Presented like a colourful festival and full of character — actors Nolan North and Troy Baker even stop by — this is a confident and brash racing game well worth a try.
