Review Dragon's Dogma 2 (PS5) - The Apex of RPG Adventuring
Dragon's godma
When you think of truly memorable open world games, it's hard not to picture the likes of Elden Ring and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Both are ultimately shooting for different goals, but they share a deep appreciation for discovery. Their worlds aren't defined by map markers; they're designed in ways that push players...

Dragon, meet dogma
Dragon's Dogma 2 is an open world, action RPG from Capcom, released for PS5 on the 22nd March, 2024. With a heavy emphasis on player agency and exploration, it's an often vague and obtuse title, and so with this Dragon's Dogma 2 guide, we want to try and offer help with a couple of the game's most important features. If you're...

News Dragon's Dogma 2 PS5 Performance Quietly Improved By Latest Patch, Players Say
Much closer to 60fps
Capcom is still making fairly significant improvements to Dragon's Dogma 2's technical performance on PS5, if some players are to be believed. The game's latest update dropped overnight, and while the official patch notes don't mention actual performance enhancements, fans think that the open world RPG is running better than...
News Big Dragon's Dogma 2 Patch 2.01 Out Now on PS5, Boosts Performance, Balances Vocations
Casual Mode also added
As promised by Capcom, a fairly significant update for Dragon's Dogma 2 has landed. Patch 2.01 is available to download now on PS5, weighing in at a reasonable 909MB. Just like the developer said, the goal here is to reduce CPU demand — the main cause of frame rate fluctuations, especially when running about in the game's...
News Capcom Finally Breaks Silence on Dragon's Dogma 2, Confirms New Update Is Incoming
Big Dogma
It's been quite some time since Capcom last piped up about Dragon's Dogma 2. The game's most recent update dropped several months ago, near the beginning of July, and the developer's maintained radio silence ever since. However, with Tokyo Game Show looming — and Dragon's Dogma 2 being named as a title that'll be 'PS5 Pro Enhanced' —...
News Dragon's Dogma 2 DLC Hopes Reignited By Suspicious Steam Updates
Through fire and flames
Capcom's been very, very quiet on all things Dragon's Dogma 2 for a few months now. With the game shifting as many copies as it did — and with the publisher bigging the property up just after launch — there was a widespread belief that the RPG would receive meaningful updates, followed by some kind of expansion down the...

Hideaki Itsuno has announced his departure from Capcom, over thirty years after he first joined the company. Itsuno is perhaps best known as the guy who got Devil May Cry back on track. News Dragon's Dogma 2 Patch Clearly Improves PS5 Performance, But It's Still Far from Perfect
Getting warmer
A new Dragon's Dogma 2 update dropped last week, promising performance improvements on PS5. The action RPG has suffered from an unruly frame rate since launch, and although Capcom did start cleaning things up with patch 1.050 just a week after the game's launch, this latest update arrives over three months later — and it still...

Hands On Dragon's Dogma 2 Update Improves Frame Rate on PS5 at the Cost of Ray Tracing
30fps option feels pointless, though
Dragon's Dogma 2 has been blessed with some notable improvements via its first post-launch update. With patch 1.050, Capcom has implemented several graphics settings on PS5, and we're happy to report that the open world RPG has taken a decent step in the right direction. To start with, let's go over the options...
Preview Dragon's Dogma 2 Feels Like a Remake of the First Game, in a Good Way
Heartfelt
Dragon's Dogma 2 sticks with the Dark Arisen template to a pleasant but almost surprising degree. Sequels often walk a fine balancing act as significant departures can alienate existing fans, whereas repeating the established gameplay often feels too safe. Capcom's anticipated sequel easily falls into the latter category but when the...

If Dragon Dogma 2 comes out, I'm first in LINE! TAKE MY MONEY!
The first one was super good as of combat and awesome monsters, story line could be better, but fudging fun as hell! Hideaki Itsuno, PLEASE OMG! I BEG YOU! MAKE IT LONGER TOO AND ADD DLC!!!
Replaying dd:da once again on ps4 and still this game is so so good..please make a ps5 remake, or a part 2 and I'll stop complaining we never got 'deep down' on ps4
I heard the first one had an MMORPG Japanese counter-part.......I say try that here, or make part 2 an MMORPG. (IMHO)
