@RogerRoger No worries! It is surprisingly reliable too. I think I've only been let down once if my memory serves me right. But that was a new game and was proving tricky to get hold of in my local store.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
So lately I've picked up some more stuff. Yes, more.
Horizon Zero Dawn, which I look forward to playing assuming the lack of CVD modes doesn't bite me.
Spyro the Dragon, boxed. Just for my shelf, my first game ever after all.
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, ahead of the remake.
And then I went online. Oh boy.
Mega Man II (GameBoy)
Super Mario Land
Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins
Pokemon Colosseum (My other copy doesn't work)
Simpson's Hit and Run (Gamecube) - Because YES
Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex (Gamecube)
A lot of stuff just on Gamecube, I want to build that library up since my PS2 copies are definitely not prime anymore.
And I have 6 more things coming in the mail...
Mega Man: Dr Wily's Revenge (GameBoy)
Mega Man III (Game Boy)
Mega Man Battle Network 3
Metroid Fusion
Pokemon Pinball: Ruby and Sapphire
Mario Party 5
If it's not obvious, right now I'm focusing on filling gaps in my favourite franchises, so Metroid, Mega Man, Pokemon, Spyro, Crash...
And my next long term goal is to properly fill out my GBA and Gamecube libraries. A lot of games I missed in my time.
Now Playing: Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Crash Bandicoot 4
@Knuckles-Fajita Another mention of The Simpsons Hit & Run around here! Awesome!
***
As for me, I've just returned to PS3 in another fit of "What if Sony shut this down tomorrow?!" panic and purchased the digital versions of Deus Ex (PS2 Classic) and Deux Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Edition. My best friend recently started playing Deus Ex: Mankind Divided on current hardware and said that I'd probably really like it. That specific game, along with inFamous: Second Son, will be around for a while longer but I wanted to grab the back-catalogue whilst I still (easily) could.
"We want different things, Crosshair. That doesn't mean that we have to be enemies."
@RogerRoger I got Hit and Run since my PS2 copy is dying. Much like my copies of the Crash and Spyro games. That's nearly 20 years of constant use for you!
Now Playing: Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Crash Bandicoot 4
@RogerRoger@Knuckles-Fajita The best Simpsons game hands down. I have a copy on both GameCube and the OG Xbox. Still play it when I get that Simpsons itch.

@Tasuki@Knuckles-Fajita Yeah, I was about to come here and say "it's my favourite GTA game".
Whilst I will usually be kind to many an average licenced game, there's no need to be generous to Hit & Run. It's a solid, funny and incredibly playable experience with fan service packed into every pixel.
Catchy music, too.
"We want different things, Crosshair. That doesn't mean that we have to be enemies."
@Tasuki At the very least, they could release it for PS2 Classic consideration. I think any further effort and they'd want something original (and microtransactionable).
"We want different things, Crosshair. That doesn't mean that we have to be enemies."
@RogerRoger@Knuckles-Fajita Well given the fact that the original games rights are now owned by Activision and the Simpson's license is Disney that dashed our hopes for a remaster as Activision will want microtransactions but Disney won't especially after the trouble they had with EA and Battlefront II.
If anything though they could do one like the Spyro remaster.

@KratosMD I got Sunset Overdrive on Steam a while ago. Still haven't opened it, because of course I havent, it's Steam.
Oh, all the games from my last order arrived. One GBA game was alone in a huge envelope for some reason. All good quality, yet to try any of them, but since July and August, until the 30th, are quite months, I shall enjoy some GameBoy and GBA goodness.
And maybe even get some friends round for Drunk Mario Party 5 because that sounds like a good idea.
Now Playing: Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Crash Bandicoot 4
I impulse bought South Park: The Stick of Truth on Switch. I am terrible at turn based games but darn I love South Park and what I have seen so far has been fun.
Now I may be an idiot, but there's one thing I am not sir, and that sir, is an idiot
8 more retro games and a massive bit of wall art coming to fill the huge void above my TV...
Gamecube
Taz Wanted (PS2 Copy died)
Looney Tunes: Back in Action (Lost it years ago)
GBA
Metroid Zero Mission
Megaman Battle Network 2
Megaman Battle Network 4: Red Sun
Mega Man and Bass (The image had a Super Famicom cart so...this should be funny!)
PS1
Croc 2 (Never seen a copy in my life)
Gex 3D: Deep Cover Gecko (Figured I'd try it)
Now Playing: Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, Crash Bandicoot 4
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 (for Switch, naturally). Looking forward to it.
@Knuckles-Fajita, I think I have that Gex game, for some reason (I don't know how I ever even got it, as I almost exclusively played on N64 back in the day, because the PS1 was my dad's & he ever only played sports games on it).
Anyhow, I tried playing through it not too long ago, but I think I stopped during an Egyptian Pyramid world because I couldn't figure out what to do next, I believe. It's worth a play session or two just for the laughs the cheesy 90's edginess provide, IMO. An "evil" Santa's Workshop (an odd choice for an opening world), a busty human love interest who shows a lot of cleavage (and who's actually depicted by a real actress via FMV sequences), and other stuff like that.
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
I don't really care about FE or any other stuff releasing this month, so I went retro again.
My little sister did very well at school this year, so she's getting Pokemon Ultra Moon as a reward.
I have to teach her how Pokemon works...
The wall art I ordered is finalised too. It's a 26" by 19" metal plate with the promotional art of the battle between Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre.
Pretty snazzy stuff.
