@TheFrenchiestFry Celeste is up there with my favourite games of the gen, I got the OST on vinyl as well cause it’s amazing. It’s just such a good story with great gameplay to back it up. Still haven’t played Farewell though.
Ok, the casino is really difficult in Cuphead. I had loads of trouble on the big train thing but this is just plain mean. I finally got to the boss and then walked left and instantly died. Back to the very start I go.
@nessisonett That is a tricky boss. When I did that fight, I eventually got good at the earlier parts, which meant I could reach the end part with plenty of health intact.
@nessisonett S ranking King Dice on Expert difficulty was a bit ridiculous. The good news is that I became a total expert when it came to timing my parries on on that die that controls what segments you land on.
Satan felt impossible at first, but once you get the requisite muscle memory he's basically nothing.
@Ralizah I get the feeling this one will be more about holding my nerve. Like those Souls bosses that aren’t hard per se, more a war of attrition. All i know is that I’m done for today 😂
I'll happily play an FPS with a m+k, but using a keyboard to play Cuphead... I think it'd be just as effective for me as completing it using Donkey Kong bongos, frankly. 😂
So, with Bloomberg sticking their neck out there, I'm more inclined to take this seriously. Apparently a Switch pro is on the way next year.
The specifications of the new machine have yet to be finalized, though the Kyoto-based company has looked into including more computing power and 4K high-definition graphics, people briefed on the strategy told Bloomberg News, asking not to be identified because it’s private. Nintendo faces stiff competition for gamers’ attention this fall as the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X are set to arrive in time for the shopping season.
The release of the upgraded Switch would be coupled with, or followed by, a slew of games from Nintendo itself and related outside studios
If there's 4K-compatibility, it'll obviously be some sort of DLSS-esque deal.
@Sebatrox lol. I think we've reached peak ridiculousness with a fruit controller!
@Ralizah 4K compatibility can also mean improved HDMI support for video streaming like Netflix. And the odd indie title. I doubt Nintendo is going to be rocking 4K titles when most of the rest of the industry can't even reach that resolution.
I just hope that none of those games are exclusive to the new model of true. I also remember a few 3DS games running terribly on a regular 3DS compared to the new 3DS.
@Octane Same, I also hope that an enhanced Switch won't have exclusive titles. My Switch works perfectly fine, so there's no way I could justify buying a Switch Pro. If they do make a few games exclusive to a more powerful Switch, then myself and others will miss out on them.
I already feel like I’ve wasted money on my Switch never mind buying a Pro version. This was the problem with them releasing their next-gen console so early compared to the other two, it’s already out of date. I personally just don’t see 4K happening though, DLSS isn’t a magic trick and requires one hell of a GPU. For it to be both Nintendo-priced and not melt in your hands? I don’t think 4K is feasible yet.
If it's a New 3DS-type deal with improved performance in some games and exclusives, then I'll buy it ASAP. Solidly 75% of my gaming time is probably spent on that one device, after all.
@nessisonett Sell it before supply chains recover, then. Switches are still selling for more than MSRP online, so I imagine you could probably make most of your money back if it's in good condition.
