-i am new to the VITA and on Thursday i will be buying my first title for it Uncharted Golden Abyss. -i just recently expanded my mind into other genres of games and i now have a more broader play type, i am into action/adventure/shooters/rpg's(1st time)/multiplayers/sports and games that have replay value to them. -i do not own a console at this moment but that will change of course PS3 to coincide with the VITA crossplay stuff. so plese comment below with suggestions and i will see you online.
thanks nick for that suggestion i have not played any platformers so if i decide to get that it will be a first in my library. thank you very much. and for the price that doesnt sound like that bad of a game to be honest with you.
To this day, the most fun I've gotten out of my Vita was working on the platinum for Motorstorm RC. It was and is very addicting and a lot of fun to try and improve your times, especially if you have a lot of friends on your list to compete against their times.
Mutant Blobs Attack is probably in second place, I hope they release some DLC for that.
Also, of course pick up Treasures of Montezuma Blitz, because it's free. They added an update that added trophies and we play it every day.
If you like puzzle games then I would suggest Lumines. You can get a demo for that one to see if you like it. The music and graphics are pretty cool, and some of those trophies are very very difficult.

Good first choice of game. Golden abyss is really good, IMHO.
Vita game wise, I'd recommend rayman origins if you're getting into platformers. Gravity rush also seems pretty good from the reviews (there is a demo you can try for yourself). Also give unit 13 a bash if you like shooters (no story, but pretty entertaining, especially in dynamic mission mode - also has a demo). I don't have many games myself as yet, but there are some really good ones on the horizon.
Psp game wise, i would recommend daxter, ratchet and clank, and resistance retribution. I would say killzone too, but i too only have a vita, and its not yet available on psn

-thanks alot i appreciate the love for this post that i am receiving and yes i have that game motorstorm rc that game is very addictive and when i get my playstation 3 i will be getting that game for it. i am looking at some gameplay for on that game mutant blobs attack and i will see if i like it. i do have Treasures of Montezuma Blitz and its fun to play and i like the game.
Forgot about that. I have the PS3 version but I'm sure the Vita version is just as good.
It's not, if only because it's missing Peacewalker.
I suggest Disgaea 3. That series is always pretty good, with a lot of humor and extensive gameplay features, and the Vita version is absolutely packed with content. You could probably fill up a whole year on that game alone!
demos demos demos. Download them all. They're the best way to get a taste of a game to see if you might like it. For example, I haven't heard a whole lot of praise for Unit 13 but I downloaded the demo and I actually enjoyed it, so now it's on my purchase list.
Gamestop is listing Mortal Kombat Vita for 10$ on their website, 10 dollars is a steal compared to the 40 I payed about a month ago. Ah what the heck, I'll go grab an extra copy right now.

I am now 13 chapters into golden abyss for the VITA and i have to say for a launch title for the VITA this game is really polished and well thought by bend studios in my opinion. i dont want to give anything away for the people who havent played it yet. the graphics are really beautiful and vivid and the way the game does what it needed to by utilizing the PS VITA's potential without pushing the limit that is really cool. laters people.
Well the games I own now are Rayman Origin, Little Big Planet Vita, Zen Pinballs 2, Mutant Blobs Attack, and Rayman 2 The Great Escape and they are all pretty good.
Games I'm playing currently: Legend of Zelda: A Link Betweeen Worlds, Tearaway
Games I'm excited for: Super Mario 3D World, Super Smash Bros. 4, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Mario Kart 8
