Topic: why the Green Goblin for the evil truck in Maximum Overdrive?

So there a reason why the movie director or whoever that did the old Maximum Overdrive movie had to choose the Green Goblin's face for the evil semi truck in the movie?

Why not the Incredible Hulk or Doctor Doom or something obscure from the Doctor Strange comic?
