@DemonStar89 well, 2002-2003 for smaller movie rental places like Blockbuster and family video while they did have good stuff to rent like the dvds for Sopranos, and Godzilla 2000, the Boogeymen DVD, Super troopers, and Donnie Darko and Chopper, at the same time Blockbuster at the time had the lamest crap direct to video crappy horror movies that you'd expect to find at a Blockbuster.
that and the Blockbuster i went to they had junk for VHS/DVD like the Jackass show
Just watched the first 4 episodes of Paradise season 2 and it’s… ****ing awesome! Dan Fogelman is simply the master of engendering emotion out of his audience. The missus and I are massiveThis is Us fans and really enjoyed the initial season of Paradise… but season 2 has that TiU special-sauce! We had to cut it off after episode 4 as we felt so emotionally drained!
Sterling K Brown is obviously incredible (when is he not) but Shailene Woodley as the new character Annie is something else. It takes a couple of episodes for Brown and Woodley to coalesce (brilliant eps all the same) but once they do, the scenes that they share are acting masterclasses. Brilliant show!
@psmr You speak nothing but truth; I said pretty much exactly the same Very very strong start to the season. I don't think it quite managed to maintain those same highs through the entire season - I watched the finale just this evening - but I don't think many shows could. Even so, this is one of the best shows running right now and I can't wait for season 3 to come around next year.
And even though you said it and I've said it, it really can't be said enough: Woodley freaking owns the episodes she's in. Truly magnificent.
@psmr Reminds me, I need to pick up This is Us again. I fell off after season 1, not through any fault of the show, just one of those things where I just kind of forgot about it. I really liked it, though
@FuriousMachine hope that you do mate, it’s a show that I’d have never thought was for me… but ended up being totally for us (the missus and I). We’ll run it back and watch the whole thing through again one day… want to give it around a decade or two though, to get all those emotional arcs refreshed.
