@Herculean Thank you for taking the initiative on the next quiz! This is a hard one, because I'm never particularly up to date on the newest releases. I will try my very best.
1. Gobblegum? I'd guess something Harry Potter related if I didn't know better. The first magicky type game that comes to mind will be my guess... and my fighter is Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
2. I've realised my greatest threat is even coming up with games that came out last year... uhh... berries appear in... Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake? Sounds like it could be a JRPG thing.
3. Lord, save me. Herbal bandages is giving me a survival game vibe, but I cannot come up with one for the life of me. Something crafty. I don't know. Maybe you can make them in The Alters?
4. Crimson tears sounds like what I would have playing a souls-like, so let's go with something in that vein. Elden Ring: Nightreign?
5. Pfffft. I don't even know what should mean! A game with energies? Probably something RPG-y with magic again, so let's go with Octopath Traveler 0 this time.
6. I know that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle came out on PS last year and it was my first thought with cigar, so here I go.
7. Rosary strings surely must be something with religious connotations. Something with demons. The first game I can think of with demons would be Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny... if a remaster even counts in this case.
8. You know, rations is such a ridiculously vague name that must be in so many games. So why am I still not thinking of any? Something apocalyptic? Atomfall?
9. I am like 99% sure this must be The Outer Worlds 2, but I am absolutely terrified I'm wrong despite finishing the whole game.
10. Oh! This one I know for sure! Bath salts are for getting naughty, naughty with my lovers in Hades II.
11. Sounds fancy and science-y. I am not smart enough to know what scientists like to play. Maybe something very nerdy with plant life like... Satisfactory!
12. Dice, you say? A game with dice... Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector? I doubt it, but it's all I've got right now! Leave me alone!
13. Cornetto as in the ice cream? I can only think of one game I'd imagine would include that... and that's Like A Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.
14. Oh good, more chocolate is what I needed in this quiz. Give me a sugar rush to come up with more games. I'm thinking something colourful and cute. This is a completely out of left field guess, but Once Upon a Katamari.
15. You know, I was just talking about Echoes of the End on the screenshot thread, and that's magical. Let's go with that even though I doubt it is.
16. This one absolutely stomps me. I don't even know where I'd get so-called ''lion perfume'' in real life. I'm just gonna go with a game I haven't named yet in a populated place that I can come up with, so... Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream.
Well, that was absolutely traumatising. Exactly what I hoped for. No doubt I've embarrassed myself! Thanks for the quiz. I hope I manage to get more than two points at least, though I have no clue where those would be from other than the two I'm rather confident on!

Whew! That was tough, but very fun! I like how you limited it to 2025 releases. I didn’t play many releases from last year, but I liked trying to guess based on the small knowledge I have of some of the games.
Pretty sure I bombed though and will have to hand over the title of Quiz Master this week. 😅

@Herculean Haha, better to try and to fail than to not try at all! I'm fairly confident in three of the answers (Elden Ring being the third after seeing others mention it too), but if any of my wild guesses will land, I'm excited to find out!
@Th3solution I'll be praying for you that your way will land you more points than mine! I'm more pissed reading through your guesses about the games I seem to have momentarily forgot even existed. What do you mean I not once thought of Borderlands 4, Silent Hill f, Metal Gear Solid Delta, Ghost of Yotei.... Embarrassing! I even played Split Fiction!
@Tjuz well, I searched a few of them and so far my guesses are all completely wrong. Even some that I felt kinda good about. I might squeeze out a couple points but I feel sure that my reign as Quiz Champion is destined to be short-lived.

@Werehog Thank you for the quiz! Sorry I'm getting to it late as I haven't actively checked the forum in the last week. I'll give it my best shot!
1. In true fashion, we're not starting off strong. This could be just about any open-world with cars as far as I'm concerned, but I'm thinking that game with mud in the name. Just because it looks a bit muddy. I think it was called Mudrunner?
2. Most certainly The Stanley Parable! I'm not sure whatever edition it might be that's on PlayStation specifically, but I better get full points... or else.
3. Another easy one with Kentucky Route Zero. I've been meaning to get around to this one eventually. Maybe this is a sign.
4. I'm really not sure about this one. The character models don't look familiar to me. It's giving me Diablo vibes, but I'm scared that's just because of the red toning! I'll go with Diablo 4, which I think is the most recent entry? Do you even play those games? Haha.
5. I'm not certain on this one at all, but it instantly made me think of Metal Gear, which must count for something. ''MachineGun Kid'' also seems like very Kojima naming. I'm not sure if there's a sub-title to that game's name (ala Snake Eater or Sons of Liberty) I'm supposed to be saying, so I'll keep it simple and stick with that!
6. This one I'm dumbfounded on. I'm sure the UI alone makes it very recognisable to anyone who's played it, but I am clearly not one of them. Graphically, the closest I can think is Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, but I doubt there's two of the franchise on this list nor do I think it had that radar on the bottom middle! It's my best bet.
7. I honestly can't tell whether this is a character model or an in-game statue somewhere. Since it doesn't mean anything to me, I'll go with the second and presume this is some sort of Greek statue. If we're going by that logic, my best bet is Assassin's Creed Odyssey!
8. This face isn't ringing a bell at all. I'm not even sure it's a man or a woman, but I'm pretty sure the character is black and will assume it's a black woman. This has done nothing but remind me of the lack of black, female protagonists we have in gaming! It's a gorgeous visual though. Uhh... Consider me stumped. --- Alright, Matt from the future here who's been having a long think and just remembered you played Uncharted: The Lost Legacy recently... which has a black, female protagonist! That will be my guess.
9. I was hoping the logos on the shirts would give something away, but nada. It must be either some park management game or a racer. Since I think the Frontier games have characters more high-fidelity than this, I'll go with Gran Turismo.... six? I don't know what the latest one is or which ones are even on what console! How many of them are there?!
10. This one instantly stood out to me as one of the Dragon Age games. I think it looks a bit less high-fidelity than how I remember Veilguard from its previews, so I'm specifically going to go with Dragon Age: Inquisition on this one.
That was a fun one! There's at least two I know for sure I'm getting, and I feel surprisingly not hopeless on most of the rest. Now everyone else get your guesses in... I don't want to be only competing with myself! (Though I must admit the thought of being a winner against myself is enticing. Screw that dude.)
