For any of us who have been here for a while, you'll no doubt remember that we used to host weekly quizzes where someone would step forward and post a quiz for others to participate in over the weekend. It's a tradition we haven't done in a while, but has been on my mind recently. I'd love to see some quizzes happen again for whenever someone would like to host one, which obviously doesn't have to be weekly like before. I don't know how high the demand for it is... but we will see!
As such, I've done the liberty of creating the first quiz just to get this going. It'll give us a good idea of whether or not there's a demand for the return of the quiz or not as well. I've kept it simple and easy for this first one just to keep the barrier of entry low. I'll post it as the first comment, and once that closes, anyone is free to create a quiz and post it whenever they want! Let's just make sure we only have one going at a time, so it doesn't become confusing. I hope others are just as interested in bringing this tradition back in a less regular and planned-out fashion, but if not... we'll simply chalk this up to a failed experiment.
And so here goes, a quiz. The PC platform Steam has a trading cards feature where you can earn badges for games if you collect them all. I've gone through my history of badges and selected ones that have recognisable elements on them from their respective games. Can you guess which badge belongs to which game correctly? All games are available on PlayStation in one form or another, and the earliest ones were PS3 releases.
For games part of a franchise, just guessing the franchise is enough to net you a point. If you are in light mode and don't see anything for number 11, open the image in a different tab to get a dark background to be able to see it. I'll post the results around this time on Sunday. Let the games begin!
What a great idea. I hope it catches on and takes off... Unfortunately I don't think I have much of a prayer with this as I have an idea about one of two and the rest.... Nothing.

Haha, I looked over everyone’s answers and I feel like a fool for missing a couple of those. Mainly #3. And #4 because I do think Herc and Dan got it right. And I like Rog’s answer for #7. That game sounds real.

This one might be quite difficult too, so I'm going to help you out a bit: these are all consumables from games released on PlayStation in 2025. Name as many games as you can; and win!
These are all VERY easy to Google, I realize. I started off using images of the items, but then realized it's too easy based on their style what game they are from. I think this is more fun.
And a quick disclaimer: some of these might appear in multiple games. Naming either of them is fine!
