@Thrillho AC/DC are an interesting band, I thought about posting about them here myself. I have a funny relationship with them in the sense that I get the impression they never take themselves too seriously, and thus, neither do I. The guitar riffs are not exactly complex and the lyrics can be a bit OTT at times though everything is catchy and hard rockin' - a fun band is the way I would summarize them.

@Draco_V_Ecliptic I think the prehistoric animals are really interesting, but I can’t say I’m a fan of the band by the same name. I actually didn’t know who they are. After a quick Spotify search and a sampling of their most streamed songs I think they are too hard for my tastes. I don’t mind some heavy metal in small doses, but I’m more into Classic Rock with a sprinkling of modern pop music.

@Draco_V_Ecliptic Honestly never listened to them. I think my brother liked Crack the Skye though. I don’t listen to much metal, the two albums I listened to from this year were a bit rubbish imo.
@Draco_V_Ecliptic ZZ Top... now you’re talking! Definitely greatness, and as you say — the early albums are the classics. Eliminator was definitely a high point, but Afterburner, and Recylcler actually had some decent tracks. But yes, classic rock like that is something I’ll keep going back to. I dig similar Southern Rock sounding bands like CCR, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Allman Brothers, 38 Special, and The Eagles. But like I say, I do like some harder stuff like AC/DC and Metallica sometimes. As well as conventional pop, alternate rock, grunge, punk, bee-bop, K and J-pop, techno, hip-hop, showtunes, disco, orchestral, and classical. There are very few genres I completely hate, but Classic Rock from the 50’s - 80’s is probably what I like the most lately.

@Th3solution I share your thoughts on genres. I wouldn’t say there’s anything I outright don’t like. Even nu-metal is kinda funny and hard to totally dislike. I have my favourites though!
@nessisonett Give Leviathan by Mastodon a try, let me know what you think, if you can spare a moment. They're quite an unusual band, not exactly death metal or anything like that but a rock band with elements of prog, psych and thrash thrown in.
@Th3solution Yeah I used to really enjoy Eliminator, until I heard the early albums, like with most hard rock and metal bands, the early albums are the best (Kill 'Em All - ...And Justice For All anyone?)
@nessisonett
One thing.
I grew up with Dance Dance Revolution 3rd Mix that have three E-ROTIC songs: Oh Nick Please Not So Quick, Do It All Night, Turn Me On (Heavenly Mix).
I have no idea about the lyrics when i was teenager until i grew up i realized their songs talked about sex and porn. 🤪😱
I was OMG and silly at the same time.
My teenhood has been corrupted by sex songs.
I admitted their songs was damn good to listen but the lyrics..... OMG 😅
I still played their songs on DDR PS1 & PS2.
But there were some E-ROTIC songs that not porn, not even talking about sex and the only song that featured on DDR EXTREME 2 PS2 USA was In The Heat of The Night as the only E-ROTIC song that allowed to be released on USA with age rating E10+ for Mild lyrics.
E-ROTIC did Cat's Eye cover English version with Eurobeat mix on DDR Extra Mix PS1 / DDR 4th Mix Plus Arcade.
Also, E-ROTIC has covered ABBA songs long time ago so their band not just singing about sex songs.
Sorry if you saw something different side from me.
@Draco_V_Ecliptic I listened to a coldwave album from 2012, A Different Arrangement by Black Marble. It was pretty good, extremely derivative but still a good listen.
