@Pizzamorg the missus and I normally watch a load of horror movies over the weekend closest to Halloween… that or a complete season of a horror tv show. Which reminds me… we better start working out the viewing options actually.
@FuriousMachine No worries mate and I appreciate you saying that.
I'll keep those three movies in mind should I find them available on a streaming service. I'm just a huge fan of giant beasts in general as the battles are so awesome when on a larger scale. I'm planning on watching the recent Godzilla and Kong movies as I think I'll find them to my liking.
@LtSarge I'm with you on that front; I love a huge monster slugfest, especially on the big screen, and I concur with @Yousef- , I believe you'll find the monsterverse movies enjoyable.
To everyone who tagged me, since I don't know how multi quotes work very well here 😂 If I see anything that feels like a gem I'll happily share it in here. I will probably post everything I watch in here good or bad anyway, but I'll make sure to highlight the stuff I really like. Especially if it feels like a smaller film that is doing something cool. And I absolutely love your collection @LN78! I have BluRays all over my flat, anywhere I can store them and its basically all horror... I don't have a problem 😂
@MightyDemon82 😂 I personally can't speak to the Sharknado films as I have not seen them. I figured that watching them would ruin all other movies for me; I feel quite sure that they must be the pinnacle of human art and will probably never be surpassed.
@Pizzamorg Awesome, looking forward to reading about it As a horror fan, I'm always on the lookout for hidden gems. BluRays all over, wherever they will fit, you say? That sounds eerily familiar
I will be moving some time during the next two years and hopefully my next flat will be more suited for more shelves and bookcases
I've seemed to have watched more horror films this year than most. Usually i can save them until the darker evenings creep in. Admittedly some of them have been older ones which I missed, like the VHS films, but there does seem to more being made recently. Most likely the Blumhouse effect.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
Day 2 I checked out Hypochondriac. While there should always be room for more queer horror, this
is also trying to nestle its way into a different, more crowded, space where the monster is mental illness and horror is a device to process grief and trauma. Feel like we've had so many of these at this point, it is hard to care much for this one, even though I wouldn't say it did anything inherently terrible.
A second screening of Nightmare before Christmas is happening here Kuwait and I’m thinking about attending it with my dad if I find the time. It’s either a 20 kilometer or 40 kilometer drive away depending on where it’s located but hopefully not the latter. This is a fantastic movie and it’s gonna be great watching it on the big screen. Especially for October.
Day 3 I checked out Vacancy. Not bad, just barebones. Wish it was a Slasher instead of whatever it was trying to be. Lots of padding the runtime with Luke Wilson rubbing his face.
These spats feel like will be much to frequent
Can we at least agree Superman IV sucks? That’s Essentially the quickest way to establish any common ground between movie fans.
