@Anti-Matter the United States, despite gun ownership being in the hundreds of millions of weapons (this is not an exaggeration) is not even in the top 75 in countries with the highest homicide rate.

All ~75 countries with a higher homicide rate than the USA are NON WESTERN. Every single one is non western.

So as an American, I can tell you what you here in your news feeds is just the extreme examples that try to paint this place as an awful, dangerous place to live.

And yet despite the way we are shown overseas, we have BY FAR the highest levels of illegal and legal immigration.

Not bad for such an awful, dangerous country right? Haha

Well, that's my opinion whether you disagree or not, I will not change my statement.

The funniest thing of all is that Anti told us in the past that he was fired from his previous job because he acted violently against a student of his.

Also went inside the house of one of his private students and woke them up standing next to their bed. The kid actually cried to their parents

This is NOT my imagination or interpretation! Those are HIS words!

I personally blame "E" rated kids games for that!!!

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika I'm vehemently against blocking. I 100% disagree with him and have shown him why he's wrong but blocking is not the solution.

Blocking is just a way to shut conversations and discussions down. I myself have been blocked by someone here when I realized something was off with the post count, there were posts missing.

Then I realized someone got really upset and instead of talking and discussing they just pressed the block button. Safer and easier to be in a safe space bubble I guess.

@GreatAuk
So, what is the most dangerous country for homicide case actually?

Om Shanti Shanti Shanti Om...

GreatAuk

@Anti-Matter In the world?

El Salvador

Lower Central America is the most dangerous place in the world, even places like Iraq DURING THE WAR had a lower homicide rate.

@LN78 Yes that may be true but I logged out to see what was wrong and then I saw the "invisible posts" haha.

Mystery solved!

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika I don't think he's a troll. Maybe he is, who knows.

But for me personally, I think he really believes these things. There is a difference.

@GreatAuk
I wonder what makes peoples over there (El Salvador) have tendency in doing the crime?

This needs repeating again and again in my opinion. The self loathing of many in the West is so tedious, especially given that as a region we are the safest and most prosperous region on the planet.

Are we perfect? No absolutely not, it isn't a perfect world but we certainly live in the best part of it.

Yet we hear these constant accusations of how institutionally racist, patriarchal and homophobic western society is.

As you say, we can't be THAT racist if there is a constant and steady stream of non-whites into Europe/N. America.

It's patriarchal? Hmm maybe you should have a look at womens rights in other parts of the world before you say that.

Homophobic? I'm not gay but if I was I'd certainly want to live in the West over say the Middle East (not incl Israel).

A bit of a wider perspective would benefit these people greatly.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika No chance he's a troll, he's the real deal.

I feel that if watching Heat or playing GTAV inspired you to go out and kill people I think you had a screw loose anyway. Much more likely a parenting issue.

Because I want to protect my students from those adult stuffs.
I have to teach them to recognize which stuffs is appropriate and inappropriate for their age so they will not get into the strange stuffs that actually not suitable for them.
Also, I will explain how bad is the impact for consuming the inappropriate stuffs that is not for their age.

Even you said there was no correlation between violences in entertainment and the human behaviour, but me as a teacher who also concerning about nowadays kids that very vulnerable with inappropriate stuffs, I want to protect them with some basic knowledge to stay away from those inappropriate stuffs and behave nice to everyone.

To imagine a 6 years old kid shot his teacher by a real gun, why that was happened?
I'm really sure that kid might saw from either video games or movies or directly saw from his parent using the gun and then he shot his teacher due to his sentimental / dislikeness feeling.

I don't want something like that happened to my students.

So, assuming M rated games make you a violent person, does that mean that if you're a grown person playing E rated games where you can have MULTIPLE boyfriends (and let's say - you want to marry ALL of them) - does that make a straight person gay?

Maybe yes....
Depend on the peoples.

I think it's very strange for me to not touching my Switch for 1 week during this year as usually I played my Switch games at least 3 days in a week.
Maybe my hype with PS4 games is still on fire and I haven't shown any sign to play my Switch games more frequently like before.
Well, I still have quite a lot of Switch backlogs but I didn't really want to play them at the moment since I still have low hype with them, not ready yet to set my brain to get into my backlogs.

To be fair I don't want my 5 year old exposed to games such as Resident Evil for example. Hell even my 11 year old. I don't think that is considered oppressive. I don't want my kids to grow up faster than they need to.

They'll have decades upon decades to be adults, no need to hurry the process along.

If that is what he is referring to, I understand that.

With the young one I'll play things like Crash Bandicoot or the Spyro Trilogy.

With the 11 year old I'll play Hollow Knight, Ori, even Horizon.

But if my 5 year old was watching Grand Theft Auto gameplay I would be devastated.

I'll also agree with you that it is not his responsibility to make sure his students are only exposed to age appropriate material. That's what parents are for.

We in the West are the most open and tolerant society that has ever existed in the history of humanity. You literally can't point to any other society or any other year in the past that was more open and tolerant.

I truly believe that the people who are constantly ***** on Western society have never traveled outside the West and are also ironically quite privileged even within Western society.

They have a self loathing that is unparalleled. It's a pathology.
