It's actually thanks to Kotaku that I became a freelance writer as someone approached me on there after reading something I wrote on the forums. It's a hellsite, and I'm amazed it's still going, but I do have it to thank for that, I suppose.
I used to follow Kotaku just to know what BS they were on about but then got really fed up seeing all the non sense.
Regarding the non gaming topic of the week I find it silly so many people act like America is the centre of the Universes. As far as I’m concerned they are decades behind Europe on so many levels and need to sort their crap but shouldn’t leak into first world problem.

I think it’s overblown like everything about Sony (and always with a nice timing you know).
I understand American studios can express their position but it (US internal politics) shouldn’t be Sony s concern as a worldwide entity. (What next? Health care, arm regulation, etc )

I used to occasionally post on gamefaqs - and I mean like fifteen years ago or something - and I remember there was a person on the Metal Gear Solid forums that changed his name legally to that of a vampire from a book and he used to argue all the time about how much better Raiden was than Snake.
I don't really know much about gamefaqs other than that.

Totally agree. People have opinions. Thinking they are wrong opinion doesn’t allow disrespecting people.
Jim Ryan strongly contributed for PlayStation to be the success it is in Europe. Ignorant people act like he’s a nobody and just came out parachuted out of nowhere to ‘change’ PlayStation. A lot of misleading information. Now I don’t know the person and if he’s fun at parties but that’s not the point. 😅

I think the issue is the internet covering make it seem like they should be some sort of populist politicians always trying to say what people want to hear and look nice and cool. (You know who I’m referring to).
Whereas in the reality that’s not what their job should be. Could as well hire a puppet actor to please the crowd otherwise.

@JohnnyShoulder I recently went to a hotel in London that had a bidet and it was a transcendental experience for me. Especially after the curry I had. 11/10 would buy one for my home.

@lolwhatno It's really not that complicated, stop complaining about it. While you think you're having a "friendly discussion" with one other member it's a complex issue and you're liable to cause an argument or casually offend somebody without realising with a poorly considered opinion you've knocked out on your phone while you're taking a sh*t. It's not such a problem to make an a$$ of yourself when you're talking about the merits of 4K versus 1080p, but there are plenty of other appropriate places to have a discussion about the pros and cons of abortion if you really can't control yourself in response to a news article.
You know, Wednesday really is an underrated day I think. Obviously there have been good Wednesdays and bad Wednesdays and everything in between Wednesdays. But in general, I think Wednesday as a concept is underrated. Wednesday really has a feel. It's like okay boys we're nearly there. Plain sailing from here. We'll be sipping cocktails and playing video games in our dressing gowns soon.
Worst day of the week? Controversial, but for me it's Tuesday. Tuesday is poor.
