@Jimmer-jammer Sorry to hear about everyone being sick, but glad you all had a Good Christmas and enjoyed the holidays together. Did you get a chance to listen to either of those albums yet? You can give me your opinions in the Music Thread if you did. I decided to pursue a Master's degree in Literature in September as the PhD is a rather long slog, still on the path to becoming a Lecturer in English Literature! How is the arts collective coming along? i.e Film-making and so on?

Managed to get the plat on Demon's Souls, hurray! I've come a long way since the PS3 version, where I couldn't get past that Spider boss.
I put together a little highlight mix (with synthwave) showing some of the more chaotic bits to celebrate. What a great game. I hope we see a Bloodborne remaster some day.

@Thrillho What did you think of the batting collapse that led to us losing the Ashes this year? Apparently Root's captaincy may come under scrutiny now after captaining two losing sides, but yeah, as the man himself has said let's just focus on these next two tests for pride's sake and cross that bridge when we come to it. Predictions for the fourth test? Another woeful batting performance/collapse from our boys?

@Thrillho - I'm just paraphrasing Root's words here, I don't think he really said "for pride's sake".

@TheBrandedSwordsman I think the last line in your first post summed it up; they're no longer batting collapses but terrible performances. Those sort of performances used to be semi-regular and almost comedy but just seem to be the norm at the moment and I have no idea why.

I can't see anyone else taking over as captain as I don't think there is a single player in the team who would even be guaranteed to play ever match!

The series has got 5-0 written all over it which is shocking seeing as Silverwood has said that this series is what he has been aiming towards for the last few years.

Not that I was ever a huge fan but tbh I would expect someone like this (who can operate digital instruments and has an understanding of music production) to have at least a very basic understanding of how software works...

@Voltan It’s toe-curling stuff. Ironically, his idea of what skins are relies on basically them being JPEGs easily copyable across different games.

Bahaha, like any of those companies would allow you to import your own skins for free when selling skins is their main method of generating revenue.

@Octane Thing is, that would require extra work for every possible combination of these games and even if that was somehow feasible (which it's obviously not), it wouldn't need to involve NFTs to work. In fact, using NFTs would only make it harder.

@Kidfried yeah, because this one is purely about money and there are some people who actually made profit on bitcoin. It's kinda sad.

@Kidfried It says a lot about human nature though. Cryptobros physically cannot help making it their entire personality because they can’t admit that they’ve sunk their money into a glorified Ponzi scheme. If people stopped and just admitted they were wrong instead of doubling down on everything, the planet would be in a better place. But no, a friend of a friend’s cousin once made 2 grand selling a monkey JPEG.

I also have friends who are heavily invested in crypto, and they all expect they can retire by the time they're 40. That's cute.
