Might go for Samsung Galaxy as you say but a 2019 model. Phones often drop in price relatively quickly when newer flagship phones in the same range are released. The S10+ looks pretty good and it keeps the phone jack which is always good news.
@Arugula Snap! I have the same phone @LieutenantFatman and can recommend it also, but it has no heaphone socket. I got free wireless ear buds with it though as well as 6 months free of Disney+ through O2. Not sure if the D+ offer is still going, but the wireless earbuds should still be going.

And there we go, got the email from eBay there to say that I’m officially due a full refund. The seller has 5 days to organise a return, in which he would pay for me to ship him an A4 sheet of paper the length of the country and then I’ll be refunded or they’ll just take the money off him anyway. I did like the fact that the customer support person said that the seller ‘constantly misled me’ like dang, don’t pull those punches. Got to love the fact that I now have to wait another 5 days for the refund to be issued and then wait for it to be credited into my account though, there’s so many stages that you just get funnelled through which take a couple of days each.
@Jimmer-jammer I'm a sucker for consumerism, the finer things in life, and wanting to be James Bond. Ever since Money Penny shaved him in Skyfall I've been exclusively using a straight razor. I even bought myself a strop and Whetstone. I love it though. Takes a little longer than a safety or electric, but hey.
@Jimmer-jammer@TheIdleCritic@kyleforrester87 If there’s one nice thing about having to wear masks, it’s that shaving doesn’t need to be as precise. Heck, you can skip the whole thing altogether! I’m a patchwork scraggly mess underneath, but no one’s the wiser.

I don’t want to be an adult, I’ve spent the morning trying to calculate if I can actually afford to take an internship. Turns out that when you take off tax and NI and factor in that it’s in the most expensive part of the country then I’d probably have about 20p to spend on instant noodles 😂
@nessisonett It’s absolutely maddening for me to see the taxes I’ve had to pay at the end of the year. It would be one thing if I thought that money was being put to good use, but as it is, I feel fleeced to the max.

@nessisonett my wife lived on instant noodles during her uni days. She could get her weekly shop for a tenner, changed days now though with everything being so expensive unless your willing to shop around.
