@nessisonett That’s a testament to excellent game design if the game is fun and engaging even without the connection to the real world sport and the multimillion dollar sport celebrities that fill the rosters.

This is probably old news but I've been playing with Remote Play App this last weekend, just because I was having trouble finding time in front of the TV. I tried it previously on Vita and PSTV and found the experience quite infuriating, playing upstairs and then constant lags or wobbles so kind of dismissed the whole thing.
However, I tried it on my iPad in the same room as PS4 controllers are compatible with iOS and it was close to buttery smooth, in the same room as I tried previously. I played some Bloodborne and managed to take down a boss on it so pretty smooth. Not the optimal way to play of course - nothing beats a big screen but for me, possibly a solid alternative for when others have the TV.
I'm assuming that its because the iOS app is more up to date and that there is a far stronger wifi antenna on my iPad maybe compared to the older PSTV and Vita. Anyone else tried it?
Now I may be an idiot, but there's one thing I am not sir, and that sir, is an idiot
@Rudy_Manchego Yeah I've tried remote play on my android phone and tablet and did not notice any lags or anything. It was in the same room as my ps4 however so that probably helped.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
@nessisonett@Th3solution I was delighted when they put MLB on as a PS+ freebie as I’d been eyeing up the game for a while.
The great thing about the game is that it has so many ways to play; each of pitching and batting has three different control methods to choose from so you can find what suits you.
Then there are so many game modes to choose from too. I exclusively played “Road to the Show” which is the equivalent of EA’s “Be a Pro” where you just control your custom character.
Baseball live is great fun though. I went many many years ago to see the San Fran Giants play when on holiday with my family. Amazing stadium on the bayside. Barry Bonds was still playing for them too. Then on honeymoon last year, we went to see the New York Mets play. Even my wife loved it! The setup is great with the food stalls, bars etc. Well worth doing if you ever get the chance.
@KratosMD From that list the only one I own that I haven’t played yet is REMake 1.
I’d consider buying Hyper Light Drifter, Knack 2, Doom, and Child of Light since I’ve been curious of those. I have Journey which I’d consider replaying since it’s been years since I played it and it’s quite short.
@KratosMD BioShock is the only one there that I own but haven't yet played.
It's been a while since I last played Shadow of the Colossus and Shovel Knight, so I'd be up for replaying them. I could also replay Journey if that pops up, but I'm not that fussed about it.
I'd consider buying Dishonored: Definitive Edition or Hyper Light Drifter, but it depends on how many people there are. If enough others want to play them, then I'll probably join in.
@KratosMD I vote Bioshock or REmake, I’m almost done Jill but haven’t really played it much in a couple of years and could start Chris?
@Thrillho I’ve been meaning to go to the States for years and I definitely would try and go to a game if I had the chance. I have family outside Boston in Canton, so if it wasn’t for the fact the Red Sox just decided to rebuild then I would have been able to see a great team! Barry Bonds though, that’s really cool and I’m sad that he can’t be in The Show because of the steroids scandal. I propose they set up a Doping Olympics, where countries compete to develop new performance enhancing drugs for their athletes. So basically Captain America.
@nessisonett Ha, that’s a Frankie Boyle joke isn’t it?
Boston is great if you do get chance to go. We had a few nights in NYC then got the train to Boston and drove around New England, and finished with a couple of days in Boston.
Could do Resi 1 remake. I bought it but never played it. I was frustrated they changed so much from the original on PS1 but willing to give it another go if that's the game of choice.
@RogerRoger I don’t often join in the chat to be honest, usually to act like an idiot but you can’t join in on mobile anyway. I’m watching the stream with my wee brother though, should be fun!
Not bad at all, nothing particularly standing out to me but quite a few big games. Glad about Spider-Man and I assume it’ll be one of those ‘stand-alone DLC sequels’ using most assets and stuff from the first game. Demon’s Souls and Resi 8 we’d already been spoiled on but nice to see regardless. That Arkane game actually looks like great fun too.
So, now that all the usual hate-filled idiots are spamming the comments saying they won’t be buying PS5, does that mean they won’t be on the site much longer? Asking for a friend 🥰
Unfortunately I was at work during the reveal event but I was checking the updates off and on and I was pretty impressed with what they showed off. I’m quite surprised at the number of people who commented that the event was a disappointment or that Sony really screwed things up. I really don’t know what more they could have done. Some people would complain even if they announced 50 new exclusives and s said they were sending a new PS5 for free to everyone in the mail tomorrow.
I was a little surprised that Horizon II was announced and “Spider-Man Royal” as I figured we all knew these were coming and I thought those respective sequels/expansions would come later at the second wave. Demons Souls, R&C, the obligatory Housemarque launch game was about all I expected. And it wasn’t even a given that we’d be shown the box and I’m glad they finally did so the masses would stop badgering Sony about that. I like the design just fine. It’s a wee-bit ostentatious for what I have in my media center, but it will grow on me. Overall, I think we can be pretty excited and it was an excellent event to get the next gen juices flowing! I’m closer to pre-ordering a launch system than I was before, that’s for sure.

The rumours on the new Spiderman is that it is really a new campaign based on the original Spiderman game, a bit like Uncharted Lost Legacy. Personally, I am fine with this and it means even more Spidey in the future!
