Topic: Play Japanese HotShots on US PS3??

Is it possible to play the Japanese version of Hotshots (Everybody's Golf) golf on the American PS3?
Also it has a downloadable update only in Japan for the game. Is there a way I can download and install the update in America?

I can't make any 100% guarantees, but I'm 99% sure that any ps3 can play any region games. The only time importing is problematic is with dvd/bluray MOVIES to my knowledge.

As for the update, that I'm not sure of. I would think it would still ping the update server and download the patch (even if it's not the American one). I think if all else failed, you could try making a Japanese PSN account and launch the game while logged into that. Again, not sure if that will work but it's worth a shot?

Yep, PS3s are region free so you won't have any problem getting the game to run. It'll all be in Japanese though of course!

Let us know what comes of this experiment and if it's worth picking the game up as I'm a huge Everybody's Golf fan!
