@Tasuki: Oh...I think I know who you were, maybe. Why didn't you just tell me you were Tasuki though?

Because I like being mysterious In all honesty I didn't have too much time today I had to run some errands. And no I don't have a Facebook page.

I honestly don't mind people knowing what my real name or Facebook page is...but if it's against the rules to share such stuff publicly, then I do apologize, I didn't know about it.

Hopefully next time you drop by, we can chat longer and get to know each other (maybe also exchange contact info).

@ToddlerNaruto: No its not against the rules and if you don't mind that's ok, I just didn't want it out there in the open its all cool.

For sure I also didnt want to disturb you too much at work and get you in trouble. Next time I will try and catch you later maybe after your shift. I am up in that area quite alot.

@Tasuki: Phew, that's a relief, thanks for clearing it all up ^_^.

I do appreciate that, you're very thoughtful .

As for when I get off work, my schedule says 3 PM for the rest of the week, except for Saturday, I'll be working until 5 PM.

@themcnoisy: haha yeah not many of my friends are all that interested! I've never done one of the gaming-specific events, but I've been going to MCM Comic Con (previously MCM Expo) in London for about 10 years straight now. A few times I've been with one or two friends, but mostly I end up going solo and still have a great time. It's just fun to wander around and soak up the atmosphere, especially there as when the weather's decent you get loads of people hanging out outside

But yeah I think it would be cool next time there's a big gaming event going on (well, maybe not next time as that's EGX which I can't make!) if we got a group together so that people who wouldn't normally go due to not wanting to go alone have someone to go with

From 16/08/15 I’m going for sober for six months to raise money for the Princess Alice Hospice. Donations can be made here and anything you can offer is greatly appreciated: https://www.justgiving.com/Stephen-Butler5

Wish me luck!

@SteveButler2210: I like this idea too. I went to Eurogamer Expo (now EGX) for four years running, and went to Rezzed earlier this year, but I'm not able to go to EGX this year.

Would be awesome to organise a gathering at an event next year or whatever. When I go to these sort of things it's usually with a couple of friends but it would be really cool to meet a bunch of new people and see the faces behind the avatars

@Quintumply: I really wanted to go to EGX this year, but swapping the venues for Rezzed and the main event this time around made it impractical for me. Hopefully they bring EGX back to London next time around!

I was thinking about it, and people might have to have name badges or something with their Push Square IDs on to avoid confusion! Otherwise you'd potentially get chatting using real names at the event, and then not be able to link that back to which person that was from PS when you're back online, with so many people having weird and wonderful user names that bear no relation to their real name!

@SteveButler2210: Yeah, I think name badges will be pretty important!

London is far easier for me to get to, and I guess a lot of others too, but I get why they moved EGX. It was getting too big, even for Earls Court, plus I remember hearing that it's being knocked down. So if that's the case, then that's a good reason to move Still, there must be other venues in London that could serve that many people, right?

@Quintumply: I'm not sure how the crowd size compares to the MCM Expo, but I reckon the venue they use for that (Custom House for Excel) would be a pretty decent size, they'd just have to do what MCM do and use multiple units inside. Door to door it'd be over 3 hours for me to travel to Birmingham NEC, so fingers crossed they'll get the logistics sorted out to bring it back to London! Makes more sense to me if it's there too, what with it being the capital and having better travel links.

@SteveButler2210: For me the crowds were getting a little too much at EGX. Last year, I enjoyed it, but the length of the queues ruined it slightly.

On the subject of travel, for me I guess it makes little difference in a way; I'll need to catch a flight either way! It is slightly easier if it's in London, as I just fly to Gatwick and get the train to the centre. Guess we'll have to wait and see what they can organise, it may well be that Birmingham is EGX's new home for the foreseeable.
