Lately I've been trying to get some of my friends to come join the Push Square community (none of them have yet, but hey ho), and it got me wondering how many others on here are connected outside the community.
Do you know anybody from Push Square offline? If so, how? Were you mates beforehand, or did you meet through Push Square? If not, would you consider some sort of offline community events to meet others from the site?

Most of the team met through the site and are now friends in real life which is nice. I've met people who read the site, too, but they typically tell me they don't have accounts. It would be nice to do some kind of event — Nintendo Life held one recently — but we need to grow the community a bit more before something like that becomes viable I think.
I met everyone either through here or Nintendolife. Since everyone here seems to be from the UK I doubt I will be able to meet anyone in person since I live in California and unless they build a bridge from the US to the UK it will stay that way I am afraid.
I did however found out a few weeks ago that I live in the same area as @ToddlerNaruto which was really cool.
Also I will be attending the Portland Retro Expo this October 17th and 18th in Portland Oregon so by some chance anyone will be going there let me know. I could definitely figure out a way to meet up there.

@ToddlerNaruto: Yeah I plan on getting there at some point usually though I work during those times as well. I was in there a few weeks ago but it was in the evening.

I unfortunately don't know anyone here in real life. Since I'm from the US (Dallas Texas to be exact), it'll be kinda hard to meet the meat of the community.
I think we've had this discussion before a while back. But it would be nice if we could have a gathering of some kind.

@Tasuki: No worries, whenever works best for you .
I don't want to make you come outta your way for lil' ol' me lol.
I don't know anyone from here personally, no, although I think a couple of friends/family members read the site from time to time.
Sadly I live on a tiny rock called Guernsey in the middle of the English Channel, and it costs an arm and a leg to fly out. I would love to meet some Push Square folks though! Definitely would try to get to an event if one was to happen.

Lol one of these days I will make it there it's just I need to find a time I am not at work.

@Anchorsam_9: Even if it's a while before an official Push Square event, I think it could be cool to organise groups of people to get together for big events like EGX, London MCM Expo etc!

@kyleforrester87: haha it's ok, I'm frequently chastised for my language so I reckon I'd cope. Problem is I do it without really thinking about it (and it gets significantly worse after a couple of beers!)

@SteveButler2210 actually this is a great idea, I have been wanting to go to an event for ages but have avoided the shows due to my friends being the pub landlord personality types.
