@JohnnyShoulder
Nice, enjoy. I’ve yet to buy it but I like what I’m hearing about being able to play against BOTs, perhaps I will finally be able to practice flying the choppers in relative peace. Just a shame the campaign seems so so but some people seem to like it so hopefully the campaign reviewed badly because it plays it safe.
@CaptD Bots and single player? Sacrilege! I think I will be sticking to the multiplayer. Think the last time I played a single player campaign in a Battfield was probabaly Bad Company 2.

Robocop: Rogue City - Unfinished Business - still haven’t played the first one but did pick a copy up a few months back. Heard enough good things about it and this expandalone to pick this up too though.
I’m not supposed to be buying games, but…
I saw a physical copy of Death Stranding 2 for $40. Seemed like a great deal that I didn’t want to pass up. So I added to my backlog
“We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.”
Just bagged a physical copy of The Crew: Motorfest for £14.99. Loved the previous one even though I ain’t traditionally into racers… I’ll be quite looking forward to this.
Strayed Lights - crazy price for this… think it was £1.99. Meant to be an indie/AA parry-centric souls-ish iirc.
Life is Strange: Remastered Collection - had Before the Storm on my wishlist forever but it never seems to get a reduction, guess it’s to push people towards this collection (which has obviously worked in my case at least). Doubt I’ll play the original ever again but I’ll certainly play the prequel… probably next year sometime.
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers - love me a souls-like and although I won’t be playing this for ages… the price was right.
@Elfuggingjefe as someone who struggled to like Yakuza during my first experience (Kiwami), I’m pretty excited for Kiwami 3 myself. I think the first game was just a bit too far out’ve my wheelhouse… but by the time I got to Kiwami 2 a couple of years later, I was surprised by how good it felt to be back.
Yakuza Kiwami was my second Yakuza game @graymamba and I honestly thought it was pretty terrible compared to 0 which I thought was utterly fantastic through and through.
In fact I skipped past the rest of the Kiryu saga and jumped into the turn based Yakuza (7): Like A Dragon with the new protagonist Ichiban instead 😅 (Which thankfully was a return to form to me)
@HallowMoonshadow lol, I don’t remember if you were part of the rabble… but I do remember a lot of people on here pushing me to start with Zero over Kiwami. 🤣
Looking back I don’t really think it was a Kiwami problem… I just had no real idea what I was letting myself in for and as it was so different, I was probably left a little discombobulated. I’m looking forward to playing Zero… but it’s a nice carrot-on-a-stick for me to ‘earn’ (might be a strange perspective to some/many… but works for me) once I’ve played through the rest of the Kiryu saga.
As an aside… I’m a big fan of third-person shooters, so now that I feel at home in Kamurocho et al… what I’d give for a Yakuza: Dead Souls - Remaster/Remake!
I may've done or at least chimed in and said 0 was a good starting point @graymamba? That was certainly a while back though!
I'm morbidly curious about Dead Souls myself (and I'll take any excuse to play as Majima some more) but not enough to fire up my PS3 and hunt down a copy so I'd quite happily take a remaster/remake... Or even just a barebones port!
I really should get back to the Kiryu saga... Or Yakuza in general. Been like 2 years since Y7:LaD so I could do with a return to Kamurocho!

@Elfuggingjefe How is the new content? (EDIT: whoops, I thought this was the "completed" thread, not the "purchased" thread so I assume you haven't got to it yet!)
Y3 is a really weird point of the series though; it has so much important story/context for the rest of the series but the actual story is mental, even for the Yakuza series
The game definitely needed the multi-protagonist format in Y4 to mix things up though.
@HallowMoonshadow so I have no issue firing up the ps3, I’m actually using it at the moment to play through FFXIII-2… but Dead Souls is just so damn expensive. I don’t mind shelling out decent sums for ps3 games generally… but I draw the line at anything over £100, which rules it out for me unfortunately. Having said that though, I imagine it’s probably a lot cheaper on the ps3 store… but it would mean having to actually use the ps3 store 🤔. I might have a look tbh.
If you do go back, will you do so with Kiwami 2 or Infinite Wealth?
I just bought a new pair of headphones for my PS5, as the ear pads were starting to come off my current pair. They would probably last a bit longer, but as I'm using them more I though I get a new pair.
After some research I went for the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7P Wireless. There is a gen 2 version which does seem better, but were over my price limit.

@JohnnyShoulder How do you like the new headphones? I’m in the same boat with my current set coming apart at the ear pads. I’ve got them taped together, ghetto style 😅, but I’ve considered just getting replacements. They work fine as far as the sound though, so having trouble justifying the cost.

@Th3solution I'm picking them up later, but will tag you with any thoughts I have with them. My old ones were really comfy even when using them for long periods, and were good to use if wearing glasses.
When researching a post from here actually came up with someone looking to buy the 7P's and being pleased with them.

@JohnnyShoulder I’m using the Sony Pulse 3D’s, which are their low end version. They’ve been perfectly fine, although not premium build and now starting to fall apart.
Those Arctis look nice. My only reservation with going third party is that now Sony seems set on their PlayStation Link tech for wireless connection. With the USB dongle that bypasses the issue on the PS5, so it’s a non-issue, but for my Portal, wireless has to go through the PS Link, so either the Pulse Elite or the Pulse Explore earbuds would be the only way to do that and avoid having to use the plug-in jack with a cord (which is what I’m doing now with just some old cheap iPhone freebie earbuds).
“We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.”
@Th3solution if you don't use the microphone features maybe just go for regular comfy headphones. You will be able to get better quality sound for the same price when they are not gaming-centric, plastered in gaming logos and colourways etc. You can use Bluetooth to your tv for regular gaming, and jack in to your PSP 😛(portal) if you get some with a detachable lead.
Not great for competitive gaming or anything, but far better for actual sound quality in cinematic games. I'm a bit of a headphone nerrrrrd, so sound quality and comfort is all that matter to me, and it might be what suits you, too.
@Ravix I do have some budget soundcore headphones, which I actually really like, especially for the price, which I mainly got for travel as they are noise cancelling. I guess I should experiment with hooking those up to the TV via the Bluetooth. I’ve only ever used them with my phone. They do have detachable cable so could hardwire into the Portal, but I prefer earbuds with the Portal since I’m often laying down on a pillow when using it.
What’s better, connecting the Bluetooth headphones to the PS5 or to the TV? Can an audio device be connected to the PS5 via Bluetooth? I did see that the reason Sony didn’t use Bluetooth tech for the Portal is because of it slower speed and potential audio lag, as compared to its Link tech…? Is that all marketing hype? If not, does connecting to the TV via BT also create some possibility of audio lag?
I’m not a competitive player so a microsecond of lag probably wouldn’t be a big deal, but I would just not like to have an inferior experience.
@Th3solution The only game I really noticed any audio lag was Hogwarts (when you do spells). But that was also happening on my tv too, and I had to fiddle with the audio settings for that game on the ps5 for some reason. So it probably is only milliseconds in most games. If you listen for it, it will be noticeable, but I really love my headphones' sound so I use them for gaming quite a bit, and when i'm fully immersed I don't notice even the milliseconds. Same for watching a movie (tiny delay) but sometimes I can't resist and will stick the headphones on to drive that phōnē directly into my head 😁
Earbuds for portable does seem most handy, I just thought if you are using a jack anyway, might as well see if it is an option to used wired... i'm going to say it... cans! (I always roll my eyes when other headphone nerds call them 'cans'. There's only so far I can go into any geekdom without finding part of it a at least a bit gatekeepy and awkwardly 'inside baseball' in the way everything has to have its own term for no real reason 😅 I will always be an outsider in any geek and nerd community as I can never fully commit to this tiresome act of conformity 😂)
Like you say, though; you can test it out and see what you think. Of course, there are different Bluetooth standards, and the later ones will have less delay or loss etc. But for wired, no issue.
