Skyrim, I figured I'd check it out on Switch but by the time I finished BotW I was extremely burned out on open world games. Even 4 years later, I still feel really burned out on open world games such that I was really excited when BotW 2 got delayed (Nintendo wants a Zelda game every year so BotW 2 delay means high chance of the Zelda Wii U HD remasters coming to Switch this year) so I guess Skyrim will go unplayed for awhile longer.

Don't regret having Skyrim from a collection angle though, Bethesda deciding to support the Switch before they got acquired by Microsoft was a big deal.

@render Hit the button on Sekiro and purchase...! It was my first From game, and got me hooked on the formula.

Having beaten Sekiro, DeS, DS1R and now ER... my take is that Sekiro is by far the most challenging, but also by far the most rewarding.

When the combat finally clicks, and it eventually will, you feel unstoppable when you take down a tough boss.

I actually think the Boss design is also a best from FromSoft, more quality and less quantity (vs ER, which I feel is the opposite)

@CJD87 Cheers for the recommend. I will definitely be playing it as after all the good praise from others earlier I ordered a copy. Really looking forward to getting my behind kicked in the very near future by what is sounding like a very interesting and challenging game 👍

This one's EASY......... with 230 games on my profile and 225 plats or 100% completions, there is one that FAR & AWAY stands (or stoops?) lower than every other game on there: Battlefield 2042. Never have I ever had a worse time, impression or experience with a video game than that broken, ill-designed, piece of dreck. What a steaming, festering pile of FAIL that game is. And to think I bought it at release for full price.......SMH. I seriously wanted to take a sledgehammer to that game and crush it into a fine glittering dust when I platinumed it.

@DETfaninATL how did you even fall for it , it was obvious the game was gonna be trash . even just going by their track record , when was the last good battlefield ? 4 ?

DETfaninATL

@nomither6 Hahahaha. Yeah I should have known. Unfortunately I was at a point where I needed something to play and I love FPS games so I took the chance, hoping against hope it might be decent. I should have remembered the debacle of BF V that bit me in the @$$ at launch. Shame on me for that. I honestly did like BF4, BF1 & even Hardline (BF4 was EXCELLENT) though. Oh well, I will NEVER buy a BF game again until it's patched, reviewed decently and ON SALE.

@DETfaninATL that’s understandable putting faith into a game hoping that it’ll scratch that itch that you’ve been missing , i’ve felt that way plenty of times , but there’s always MW2 this year i guess

@nomither6 Forgot all about MW2 this year! MW ('19) was an excellent game. I thoroughly enjoyed that and played it for quite a long time. Come to think of it, every COD game I've ever really, truly enjoyed 100% of, was the the MW sub-series. Never been a zombies fan as I've always felt it was out of place in a military shooter and it should be it's own game. So while I have played many COD zombies offerings, they kind of soured the overall package for me when it comes to the Black Ops sub-series. But now I digress and have gotten way off topic.....

Probably Kingdom Hearts. I've wanted to play it for ages and now that I'm playing the game, I'm on deep jungle and I'm just not enjoying it. I'm probably just gonna read a plot summary and move on to the next game because I've heard it improves a lot.
EDIT: I know that Kingdom Hearts 2 is actually the fourth game in the series, hold your horses.

@Jackpaza0508 It gets better. Deep Jungle is bloody annoying and never comes back. And Kingdom Hearts 2 is technically the third game! It makes more sense to play/watch 358/2 Days after you’ve already played 2.

@kyleforrester87 pathfinder kingmaker won't install for you? Did you have it previously for your ps4? It has worked for me on my PS5. I regret never finishing it. I went back to it on my ps5 and had no clue what to do next and I know you have to be event careful as it can ruin your game. Some day ill start over.

My biggest regret may have to be Kingdomcome Deliverance. Not that it was a bad game, I just never quite got the sword fighting down and to top it off it dropped in price right after I bought it.

Jango-Forest

This is just a recent example, but after 5 or 6 hours I'm regretting buying Deathloop. I've never really liked FPSs that much anyway and the fact it's asking me to constantly go back to the same locations for seemingly marginal gains really depresses me. Call me crazy, but I might not finish it. In fact, I might even sell it.

kyleforrester87

@Elodin nope - it comes up with an error at the same point during installation each time and just craps out on me. There is no visible damage on the disc so I dunno, perhaps it’s just a faulty copy or it just can’t get over my PS5 for some reason. I’ll try a digital copy if I ever see it for around £5.

Replying to another thread made me think of another game, Borderlands 3.

I am a big Borderlands fan, enjoyed the first one loved the second one and couldn't wait for the third one. After waiting so many years for a third one I figured it had to be better or at least as good as 2 I even went and pre-ordered it. I took the day off and even went to the midnight (well 9PM my time) release so I could play it. And I played it for 30 minutes before I was disappointed. First of the classes compared to 2 were just meh but the worst thing was I couldn't even play this game with my son. We play Borderlands in splitscreen mode, yet some and I use the term loosely genius at Gearbox decided to remove vertical splitscreen and on have horizontal splitscreen only. As a result the text was unreadable and it was so hard to see anything. I ended up trading it in a few days later taking a huge loss on it. Even now that they added vertical splitscreen with a patch, I have no interest in it. I am glad Tiny Tina's didn't turn out that way.

Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2 remasters. I don't think they have aged well & can be played now. Its just not about the graphics but the gameplay also is kind of bland as of now.

@VivianXD2464 How did you "buy Warframe" when it has been free2play from day one on all platforms?

Loads! Because I buy all my games digitally and they’re so easy to buy on a whim I regret buying quite a few! They’re good games too, things like Elden Ring and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. I just don’t think I’ll get around to playing them anytime soon.

Any horror game. I always think "This looks awesome, I'm gonna do it!" and then soon remember that I just don't like horror games. There's something about having control over when the jump scare happens that I don't like. Glad lots of other people can enjoy them but they're not for me.

Hitman 1+2 collection. They are fine games, but to get the most out of them you are supposed to replay the levels many times and that's just not my thing. I prefer a meatier campaign.

@lolwhatno Thanks but I've finally resigned myself to the fact they're just not for me. It's fine, there are hundreds of other games out there for me to play.
