@wildcat_kickz Maybe someday I'll find the energy to post some images of my Shadows hideout here. I put scores of hours into it for no one to see... 😔

  • You really should I didn't even know the game had that feature. Base building/customization is a great mechanic in so many games but I've seen so many people hold back on sharing their builds/etc. That's one of my favorite things about Palworld finding so many new players now, people are sharing their bases and it's fun seeing all of the different designs and ideas. I'm working on mine right now. Well my Pals are mining and farming more materials for me to build, it's the same thing really. I'm contracting them without pay. One day I'll try Black Flag, I played most of the series but for a couple and a lot of people have said I need to play it, even before this new version was a thing. I'll help you with the energy, grab a USB stick, transfer your pictures, upload them to IMGbb dot com, then hit post, it's fast.

@Tjuz The Dora/Prometheus one just sort of ends and it means Dora doesn’t have anything unique to say any more to me, just some generic platitudes each time which is kind of a shame. Still can’t see to get Athena to finish off the Arachne one and still waiting for Moros to give me the last bit of info for the Fates.

I’m away again this week but had been focusing on completing runs with weapon aspects I hadn’t already “won” with which was surprisingly quite a few! Apparently still six to go.. I tried mixing it with Fear runs but messed up a few so it slowed me down.

Still plenty to do but still enjoying it without needing God mode (which doesn’t affect trophies thankfully if I do need it!)

@Th3solution oof! I have picked up a disc drive, just so you know, you fiend. Justification in the end was that I have a lot of 4ks/movies etc, so a backup player will always be handy, especially over winter/movie season, and it was pretty cheap, plus The Blood of Dawnwalker on disc is the icing on the cake. I've picked up Mafia: The Old Country to test it out, too. I guess the irony of it is also pleasing to me, but I genuinely would prefer if Sony kept releasing discs, even if it was far more limited, despite me not having a big problem with digital overall, especially if they improve certain aspects in terms of ownership - if you've bought it it should be available for you to download, even if delisted etc. But i'm sure all companies will be pressured into improving digital ownership over the next few years anyway.

So yeah, hows Saros going? I doubt we will be playing Death Stranding 2 or Ragnarok for a little while yet as it hasn't been that long, has it?, but i'm starting to think Ragnarok will be a better winter game again, but you never know... you could twist my arm. Any changing thoughts on a favoured next game now you are deep into another game yourself? Death Stranding 2 is definitely starting to call me, though, mostly for its desolate landscapes and ps5 pro goodness (it will probably be a calmer experience after a bullet-hell type game, too ).

I doubt Mafia will be a long or demanding game, either way. Unless there is a grand prix race 💀 And, yeah, with my next release titles being The Blood of Dawnwalker and Wolverine in September there's a good bit of time to still fit something good in there, I'll pick them both up near release as they are definitely my type of games, but maybe only play one in Sept, we shall see.

It's certainly a contender, which is a great thing to be able to say! Glad you enjoyed it so much!

@GirlVersusGame It's a shame that V Rising was ruined for you because of that experience! I know that personally I would've highly appreciated you taking over the building and surprising me with a beautiful castle. I'm not one for building or resource-gathering at all, so I'll always let the other person do it if that's their fancy. Add the fact that you're incredible at building bases, and we would've been a perfect match on that front! It's weird that he reacted in that way when you say he had a very similar playing style from what you could expect from me playing a survival game multiplayer. I guess maybe it had less to do with the game and more so him just not being a nice person in general. Maybe he was just looking for a reason to go off at you, and with that he found one that he could pass off as being ''fair''. What an idiot.

Your Palworld build continues to look beautiful! I saw the pictures you posted of it on Discord too and was highly impressed. Bless you for having the patience to go through getting all the resources to even get your base to that point. I suppose the Pals can be a big help there, but I don't know how many of them you have that have actual relevance to getting the stuff you need to get your base looking so expansive and gorgeous! I don't think I'd ever return to the game unless some friend eventually asks to play it together. I'm not a big fan of survival fare, so I need that other person there to keep me engaged and to have fun. As for the comparison to Pokemon, I'm not the best person to ask. I don't think I've played a single game in that franchise, spin-offs or otherwise. The way I saw it was that it seemed pretty much like a blatant copy with a lot of it, but with just enough legal distinction that they can get away with it. I think the survival focus of the game does a lot to differentiate it from the Pokemon formula though, so I wouldn't say it's a worthless rip-off or anything. I had fun after all for the time I played!

And yes, my last few weeks have been filled with non-stop Baldur's Gate 3. I'm glad you bought a copy early on to support the developers, because they definitely deserve it! I bought it in the Steam Summer Sale just last month, and whew. It was still just a 25 percent off sale all these years removed from its 1.0 release. I can't say I haven't gotten my money's worth however! I'm now 78 hours into my save file and am only just about to enter the third and final act. And if Sol is to be believed, that's going to be the one eating up the largest amount of time! Still having a lot of fun, so I'm hoping I'll get through it in the next couple of weeks if I keep going hard on it like I have 'til now. You should definitely give it a shot sooner rather than later with how I know you enjoy getting lost in these long, expansive RPGs!

About to play Little Nightmares VR: Altered Echoes for PSVR2.
They added in Smooth turning(Finally!) less than a month ago, and it went on Sale so i finallly bit the bullet. Still wish it was presented in a VR 3D Diorahma style similar to the flatscreen games, but with everything being true to life in size. Missed oppurtinity. Instead they settled for first person with motion controls which was the safe/vanilla way to go about it.

Nice I hope you enjoy it, it does look good although the forced vignette in the form of the hat is a little off putting.
But yeah it is a shame that VR games often come out of the trap in an unfinished state and their downbeat reviews are often not updated when the game has been updated/finished.

Anyways I’m playing Rise of the Ronin and it is really pretty good. Good characters and loads to do although it is lots of regions and each region has similar side objectives to the last. The only negative so far is the mini game, two dice, is the score odd or even? Really?! It’s no Gwent that’s for sure! 😂.

The dev's recently stated that The vignetting/or Triangle shaped perspective from Six's hood was also a way of boosting performance since there's less image on display. For PCVR, there's already a mod that does away with it.

But It was on sale for like $10 or so less, and Smooth turning is now doable. Thank god, because snap turning is immersion breaking.

haven't checked out Rise of Ronin just yet! The last two flatscreen PS5 games i finished were Resident Evil 2 Remake(S-tier 10/10 experience, especially in 120fps mode) back in early 2024, including RE3Remake. But I've got to admit, these days, I only usually fire up my PS5 for PSVR2. I recently finished Shadowgate VR: Mines of Mythrock, and I'm still plugging away at Subside's DLC: Makoa Shelf which has been both incredible and absolutely terrifying thanks to those Tiger sharks which almost look like great white Jr's. Wish I could obtain an underwater Missle launcher and blow them to complete shreds!

I've 100%'d the main game, but Makoa Shelf is giving me the heebie geemies once i step out from the Shallows.

$10 for little nightmares is a great price, I shall have a look out this side of the pond for a similar deal.
I have subside but haven’t bought the dlc yet, mainly as I haven’t had time to play the base game yet but yeah I did read a comment elsewhere that it was a bit nerve racking.
I haven’t played VR for a month or so, outside of doing the GT7 weekly challenges, mainly because it is too hot here in the UK. My recent VR game is Hellsweeper which was great.

My VR backlog is crazy though and I’m just about to get MS Flight Sim, when the current beta which massively improves clarity is released for the retail build.
Plus I must get back to Hitman, I keep (annoyingly) getting sidetracked by PS Plus games.

Whoops, meant to say it was around $10 off. Priced originally at $39.99(cad) and dropped down to like $31. Haven't played it just yet. I find PSVR2 a bit more of a barrier to jump into simply because of the cable(Then again, if you always leav it plugged into PS5/PS5 Pro it's obviously more convenient, but the cable looks messy.) tiny sweet spot...

interface discomfort(Who am i kidding? there is NO interface, it's thin rubber with zero padding. lol) and i have to wait around 10 minutes or so after powering it on to de-fog since it has to warm up. What's also really sucky, as that i have to use VR prescription Lenses, so that's another peeve of mine since you always have to clean the outer and inner lens, and then the actual VR lens as well.

Best in and out VR solution would be wireless, wide sweet spot(Pancake lenses), more vents(or something) that prevents any fogging when booting the headset on which still happens even with Quest 3, and getting lasik eye surgery and finally ditching those pesky magnetic prescription lenses. lol

And ya, even the heat here in Canada can be a pain during the summer. Heat + VR is just a match made in heaven. An air conditioner is a must. And i doubt Little Nightmares VR is any more nerv racking than MADiSON(Which wrecks me every time i attempt to get back into it) or even the Tiger Sharks in Subside's recent Makoa Shelf. Cartoon styled timb burton-esque horror like with LN VR doesn't really get to me. But i still haven't given it a go just yet so i can't say for sure!

In the last few weeks I recently started playing "Cuphead" again, i've been playing it on and off since it's release on PS4. Now I only have 2 more bosses to go in the DLC before it's done.

Also playing "Denshattack" which is quite possibly my game of the year. Just have to get all collectables and gold medal each stage to get the platinum. Superb game.

I also need to jump back into "Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Story wise i'm inside the monument but i've barely scratched the surface of the map so hopefully still a bit to do yet.

I started Symphony of the Night for the first time in the Requiem Collection, after beating every CV from NDS and GBA (Advance Collection and Dominus Collection), and I'm having a hard time SoN. I don't know If suck that hard or if SoN is almost unfair. It's an amazing game tho.

Finally got my Plat for Marathon over the weekend! What a game. I know it's really struggling, but I hope Bungie sticks with it.

I also finished the "story" for AC Shadows. I love being in that world, playing as either the shinobi at night or wandering ronin by day. That said, it was probably the worst execution of a narrative I've ever experienced in an AC game. Even worse than Mirage, which was already pretty bad.

With all of the technical achievements that Ubisoft stuff into their AC games, I always struggle to understand why they cut corners on the story, script, and performances. Playing Black Flag Resynced in parallel really underscores that the narrative and characters can really pull you through a game. Shadows lacks any character that I felt compelling. Motivations were skin deep. Villains were utterly forgettable. I didn't even realize I was fighting the final boss until the credits started rolling.

AC has always been great comfort food to me. The virtual tourism is unmatched in gaming, but I really hope they do a better job at telling a story in the future.

@Tjuz Sorry for the late reply. Cuphead absolutley has held up for me. One of those games that gets you in a rage but once you lock in it's a lot of fun.

Thanks for the tip on Expedition 33. Good to know there is still more to see in the game yet as I love it and don't want it to end anytime soon.

about an hour to go on Uncharted 1... never played these games before! Even with the huge logic holes in the plot I'm still really enjoying this, can't wait to play the rest of the games!
