Topic: What PS5 Games Are You Currently Playing?

Probably about 6 or 7 hours into Hellpoint now and although I was enjoying it well enough during my first session, the more I play, the more I think it’s a bit of a hidden gem. Apart from the combat itself, which is pretty basic as far as souls-likes go (though not bad)… it’s surprisingly deep in terms of the various systems (nerfs, buffs etc.) and the exploration is really good.

I’ve now taken on the third boss I’ve found and actually struggled tbh… think I probably took around 5 goes, which this early into a souls-like surprises me. It was a two-boss boss though if you get me (two boss enemies at once), which always tend to give me some issues if I’m honest. Haven’t found the next boss though and have been exploring for a fair few hours. It’s very labyrinthine, which I appreciate but it does seem particularly easy to get lost 😅.

Playing Spider-Man 2, Neva which I’m not really feeling despite enjoying Gris but I will persevere. Also playing Toy trains in VR which is delightful. Trying to get my VR backlog down having recently finished Hellsweeper (left one trophy locked as I fancy this game as my next milestone), that game was great.
Sony sent me an email detailing my monthly VR stats as they usually do and i played VR for 40 hours last month.

When you wrote about it the other day I watched a video and remember seeing this game a few months ago, it looks alright although I didn’t think much of the environments as they all looked a bit drab and bleak.
And from what I saw it did seem easy to lost but it was a brief video.

@CaptD yeah don’t think it’d be for everyone… not even amongst fans of the genre but it’s definitely scratching the itch for me. Will probably play one of the more flashy souls-likes as my second one for 2026 in around 6 months time. It’s looking like it’ll be between Lies of P, Black Myth: Wukong and The First Berserker: Khazan atm.
