Defeated Lady Butterfly in Sekiro. That was quite the challenging boss fight, got a newfound sense of confidence and accomplishment. Bring on the next boss!

@JohnnyShoulder Thanks, man. Yeah, she was definitely quite the toughie! What game are you playing right now?

I think I was on "The Devil's Pack" loosely guided main quest for well over a week a while ago in KCDII, and now I've recently been on the mission right after that (although technically it's concurrent) for maybe another week. There is so much great content in and around the main quests, and the main quests themselves being so open allows you to do as much or as little as you want.
I had decided to push on with the main as I felt it was time and I wanted to get back to business, but then I instantly got sucked in to a really deep medieval murder mystery that was potentially linked to the end of the quest that I was cracking on with. It's total madness and I love it.
Cracking game design once again from Warhorse. It's mind bogglingly massive, but only if you want it to be.
(I had to peek at how many main quests there are, and it looks like at the rate i'm playing it that I'll be finished by Christmas 😂) Although, I do assume that at some point it will lock you in to a good chunk of main quests in a row once more and by that point I'll be happy to really get stuck into more fast paced sections with whatever twists and turns they bring.
@Jimmer-jammer Sorry for the delayed reply. But, yeah, thank you, man, definitely not "a walk in the park", as you put it. A very challenging boss, indeed. Besides the final boss, which was the hardest one for you, out of the ones you did beat?

@Ulverstonian I thought Until Dawn was not too bad, as well, even though it wasn't my usual gaming cup of tea, either. What ending did you get? I think ,unfortunately, most of the characters died during mine 😂. Feel free to use spoiler-tags for those who haven't played it, yet.

I started up Star Wars Outlaws and so far I’m enjoying it. I’m still in the opening section so it’s way too early to pass judgment. I’ve heard that the game gets much better after you get further along and it opens up, so I’m optimistic.
So far the game feels less like ‘Assassin’s Creed: Star Wars Version” and more like “Open World Uncharted: Star Wars Version”, but even the Uncharted comparison doesn’t quite fit. Whatever it is it scratches a certain itch — cover shooting, stealth, narrative driven, Star Wars romp.
I’m approaching it like I’m playing as a female Han Solo, as I think that’s what they were going for. Not the most creative choice to make, but Han is my favorite Star Wars character so I don’t mind at all. Also, after playing as a young Jedi in Fallen Order and Survivor, I don’t mind putting aside the lightsaber for a while.

@Th3solution Glad to hear you're enjoying your time with 'Outlaws' ,Did you finish RE4 Remake in the end? What were your impressions?

I'm really into Alan Wake 2 and I think I got pretty far now.
Remedy really mastered the perfect blend of weird and creepy with a bit of goofiness sprinkled on top for my taste. Loved it in Control and it might be even better here.
Still not a huge fan of the jumpscares though! lol
Also enjoying the Night Springs DLC, which provides some comedic relief between the tense parts (I like that the entry points are located at different spots within the main game).
I’m on the verge of completing Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. I’m at the final point of no return and have every trophy up to this point. I should have the platinum in the next couple of days!
@Kraven well done and JCBP 😁 I didn't play it for a couple of days, but I'm getting back to it, and i'm only a little bit nervous about a massive patch coming out in a few days 🙈🙈 I've had no major bugs, just some occasional flashing light. But big patches are always a touchy time when you have a massive hundred hour play-line and only the PS cloud to rely on for backups 😬😬
When it seems you're out of luck.

@BlAcK_Sw0rDsMaN Yes! I had a blast with RE4. I left a few impressions over on the “Games you’ve recently beat” thread. Suffice it to say, I liked it even more than I thought I would. I’m not sure if it supplants RE2 Remake as my favorite of the series but I think it’s close!

Happy new ZZZ patch day. Not had a lot to say on this game in a long while really, not because it is bad, but the opposite. It has become my comfort blanket, each patch I jump in, get the new character, complete the new missions and then I'll see you on the next one.
This new patch though definitely has me thinking about the future of the game. Firstly, the absurd oversaturation of certain classes / elements continues and remains kinda frustrating.
But more than that, every patch now seems to be expanding more and more this idea of off field units. To people who don't know, the idea is you have a party of three, and one of those units isn't ever really intended to be controlled. You switch to them, proc some kind of ability, swap to a unit that is designed to be actively on the field, and the character you swapped off can do something automated off the field while you actively control the other one.
Its a cool concept, but I kinda wonder at what point we're just gonna hit critical mass with this idea, given all three of the new characters all lean into this mechanic. A few patches ago, Astra already already kinda turned the game into a bit of C/F with you constantly swapping in and out active units to keep the buffs active, which was then double downed upon with Evelyn, but since the two of them were a pair, it didn't seem a problem, as it gave them a set of mechanics and style of play that would be (mostly) unique to that pairing.
But now we have three more who are all their own version of this mechanic, are we gonna hit a point where you have a full team of three where you want none of them active on the field for more than a single second? Cause that sounds... not fun to me?
I was playing Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and enjoying it a lot but then the 1.2 patch came out and broke the game. The main story quest I was currently playing is broken now and can't be completed, so I can't progress the game. So disappointing. I have to find some other game to play, until they fix the bug.
Started playing Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut. I was planning on upgrading to the PS5 version as I own a physical copy of the PS4 version of the Director's Cut. But then I remembered that the game is available on PS+ Extra, so I decided to take advantage of my subscription and play the PS5 version through that. That saved me €10!
Played it for about an hour and it's awesome so far. The visuals are gorgeous and the combat is so satisfying. I'm also experiencing it with Japanese VOs and it's decent enough, although I still feel like the lip-syncing is a bit off even though this feature was added in the PS5 version. Either way, I'm really enjoying this game and I can't wait to play more!
