I made progress in Sekiro, almost defeated that pesky miniboss that had been giving me some trouble, got him down to the nth degree of his second life before I failed. Anyway "Hesitation is defeat". Back on it tomorrow.

Watching the credits roll on the amazing Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. Took me just over 70 hours. Once I've got a few extra trophies I'll be starting Trails through Daybreak II.
Defeated the miniboss samurai that guards Ashina Castle in Sekiro this morning, feeling chuffed, essential training for the later bosses of the game imo, now onto Hirata Estate and more minibosses, next gaming session.

My character is a female Drow who's Lolthsworn, and a Warlock who's patron is a great old one. I'm playing her with mostly good choices too with her having an insatiable desire for knowledge... Which has surprisingly come into play... And backfired horribly on her
Take it you're off the beach at the very least? The first Act alone took me upwards of fifty hours doing everything...
@HallowMoonshadow Yeah, I'm off the beach. I'm not quite that bad at the game to still be at the crash site 15 hours later.
I'm currently working on killing all 3 of the Goblin leaders the "easy way". Ragzlin is proving to be an issue even when you go invisible and shove him to his death, so I might have to wait to kill him if I keep failing to be able to get away afterwards.
The urge to progress my Illithid powers by absorbing more tadpoles seems to clash with the rest of the game though.

@Bentleyma Yeah Eiyuden was good wasn't it? I felt it was a worthy successor to Suikoden and I'd play a sequel. The story sagged a little in the middle for me, but the way everything came together in the last 20 hours was sensational.
Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.
@Gremio108 I'm actually quite lucky in that I've never played the Suikoden games, so I'm really looking forward to the HD remaster of the first two games. From what I've heard it's basically going to be a similar experience to Eiyuden Chronicle, which sounds good to me!
@Bentleyma Yeah you'll love Suikoden II. The first one isn't as deep but still a great game with some brilliant characters. I'm sure nostalgia plays a huge part, so it'll be interesting to see what you think of them after playing Eiyuden Chronicle. Keep me posted!
Good job, Parappa. You can go on to the next stage now.
Started Alan Wake 2 last night, only played for a little bit.
Wow, it's a completely different game from the 1st one. Very creepy in all the good ways.
Runs and looks great on PS5 Pro (I'm running it in the new 40fps balanced mode).
Very much looking forward to playing more.
Finished Jedi Survivor and clocked in at about 43 hours, and did almost everything. Also playing It Takes Two for the first time with one of my siblings and having a blast with it
Defeated General Tenzen Yamauchi in Sekiro, this morning. I cleared out all the soldiers first, then snuck up for the first deathblow, the rest followed suit and was easy. The combat may really be clicking for me, or he was just a much easier miniboss than the later General that guards Ashina Castle, whom I defeated last week. Either way, I got Yamauchi on my first try, so was chuffed!

@Hapless Perhaps we were separated at birth! 😂 Thanks, man, I am currently collecting Prayer Beads, so going to Hirata Estate, next. How is whatever game you're currently playing going?

@Hapless The game is pretty darn good. I got the platinum for it. If you attempt to do everything it can wear out its welcome, particularly in its third act, but it is still a fun time. For a tip, I’ll say watch out for trees that have markings on them of some sort.
I've finished Zero, Kiwami 1, Kiwami 2, three and four. I'm on 5 right now and I'm on the Akiyama story chapter after finishing the Kiryu taxi story which was great.
Unlocking the Daytona USA music while speeding on the Tokyo highway was a blast!

I played KCD2 quite a lot this last weekend and I've still not visited Kuttenberg. I have seen it in the distance however, so at any moment I could head there if I choose.
But i'm taking every chance where there is nothing urgent happening to explore and side quest in the new area as I still run that I left one or two little side bits early and got locked in to the main quest, instead of spending more time at Trosky. And, as the quest log says:
Katherine is trying to find information in Kuttenberg and has found a job in a tavern (or something like that)
I'm taking that as my cue to take my sweet time assembling my devilish crew. A couple of in-game weeks seems a good enough time for them to do that and do some snooping. So rather than fly from a to b to c to assemble tbe crew, I'm stumbling on things more naturally once more, as I travel town to town. The pinnacle of which was literally stumbling down a hole to start an unmarked quest, that I've since found out there was someone you can pick it up from to investigate "something"... But I literally fell head first into it unaware, and it was a freaking awesome way to find a quest, much better than if I had been looking for something already.
There is also rumblings of the devs wanting to make the game harder (it is a bit easy) but not wanting to do it mid first playthrough for people. Although I'd welcome it, as my natural explore, RP and talk to NPC style has meant I can absolutely batter people in duels as I'm levelling up so fast just by playing it. I also have a chest full of armour I can't sell to peasant traders so when I get to Kuttenberg I'm going to be quite rich, but because the price of armour you can sell stays really, really high I might just keep what I like the look of and bin everything else to avoid that, as I've enjoyed being a poor peasant again, who only occasionally upgrades his gear because he killed the right enemy and washed any trace of their insides off of that gear and mended it so it is as good as new 🙈
I’m still playing KCD2. I’m 100 hours in and not even halfway through the game. I had to take a brief break today because I was getting absolutely frustrated with the Lost Honor quest. In order to get the trophy you have to beat Zavish three times in battle with different weapons. For the life of me, the first round is infuriating because it’s polearms only. I just can’t beat it. With that said, I can easily beat him the next two rounds (I tested it out, just in case). That is going to be my primary focus for the immediate future.
However, prior to all of that, I’ve done some incredible side quests today. There are a ton of unique ones in the second region, and the quality of the writing, stories, and characters within are astonishing. From ghosts, to tugbones, to digging people out of the sewage, there is nothing this game doesn’t offer. It’s similar to RDR2 in its world and quest design.
Yeah, this is an all-timer for me. Top 5 at the very least.
@Kraven ah, I've been waiting to find the digging out of the poop pit quest since day one without spoiling it for myself. I know it exists because of the pre release developer talks they did, but i'm waiting to stumble into it. Glad I didn't invent it in my mind and it is really there somewhere 😂
Anyway, I was going to give you a tip about beating that dude in a duel, as I did it second attempt, after getting totally smoked first try 😅 I can't for the life of me remember what worked for me, though. I think I just drank a draught of something to perk me up a bit, maybe bucks blood for stamina, and then was a lot more patient with the polearm mostly blocking and recovering before sneaking in a flurry of no more than 2 or 3 to avoid his combos before murdering him soundly with the other two weapons.
These images should spur you on 😁
I'm just now thinking... I wonder what happens if you accidentally poison your polearm blade a little. That could be the easiest way. Either Dollmaker or Bane if you're feeling a bit evil.
