Topic: What PS5 Games Are You Currently Playing?

Just got the platinum for Streets Of Rage 4. Still playing ESO like it's new. And moving toward platinum for Ragnarok.

Baldur's Gate 3

I have finally entered the Baldur's Gate 3 vortex, only a couple of years late. After a few hours, I am enjoying it so far even if I'm not very good at it yet.

I remembered to let you know when I finally opened my Collector's Edition and started playing it, @HallowMoonshadow.

@HallowMoonshadow ME2 is an absolute GOAT and still held up when I played it through for the fourth or fifth time when I went through the Legendary Edition last year. The interactive comic they had with the PS3 release to let you recap the ME1 story and make the main choices was a clever addition.

I only played ME1 for the first time in the Legendary Edition and I can see how it was so impressive at the time but it has not held up brilliantly. The story and world is still great but combat is proper clunky and loads of the side content feels a bit "cheap" with loads of reused assets for areas and then missions just ending with a little blurb of text explaining what happened next. Plus, that Mako buggy is an absolute dog to drive!

ME3 is fantastic as well with the opening sequence being one of the best of any game for me. It's one of the few games I've ever bought the Collector's Edition for (a slightly ironic name given ME2...)

I have been trying to get along with Metaphor in the past week but having no luck with it clicking. I love the Persona games and thought this would be perfect but I just cannot get along with it.
I think I am not getting on with the class system and I personally don't think the calendar suits this game.

I think I will just go and replay GoW:R until Avowed comes out

Second of all I said this myself playing ME1 back in August or whenever! Yeah the same bases copy pasted over and over again did make it feel rather cheap

Must at the behest of @CaptD, I made a start on Dead Island 2 this morning. Wasn’t massively keen as I’ve never liked first-person melee and not as into zombies as most people seem to be.

Having said all that though, it’s great! Another great undead suggestion from the captain, following on from Zombie Army 4 a couple of years back. I think I’m gonna enjoy this one.

Oh nice Kilowertz! What Class & Race is your main character or did you pick one of the origin ones? Or perhaps dark urge?

I enjoyed my time with it when I played it a few months back. It did drag on a couple of sections but it managed to introduce new enemies and stuff just as I was beginning to feel fed up with it.

@JohnnyShoulder yeah I wouldn’t ordinarily be anywhere near playing this yet but there’s a few of us involved and I don’t wanna miss the boat.

It’s also playing hell with my ocd that I haven’t played the original Dead Island yet but hopefully we’ll be remedying that later this year.

Shirley the fact that it is called Dead ISLAND is stressing your ocd levels more.

@graymamba I don't think you are missing anything special by not playing the first game. It is not like the games are massilvely interconnected like the Mass Effect games or something.

@JohnnyShoulder it’s not really the interconnectivity bud… more the fact that there’ll be a plat for Dead Island 2 but not 1 on my trophy list 😅

@PeaceSalad sounds like a plan mate, it’s not an overly long main story campaign afaik so should get through it by Avowed if you mainline it.

Apparently there is a challenge (required for a trophy) which requires you to have one million dollars. Therefore I will be relying on you lot to splash the cash and give me any spare change plus your most expensive weapons.

@CaptD 🤣 yeah I’m only on about $35k so far but haven’t actually sold anything yet, just been putting them in my locker.

Another one to work on from the start is the Batter Up! challenge, which involves kills with thrown weapons. I think you need 200 total… I’m on about 115 after todays sesh.

It shouldn’t be a problem as it is one million cumulative so we can just do a cloud save, drop our expensive weapons then restore save thus duplicating them.
But yeah gotta remember that batter up one.

I think you (or me) might have that challenge slightly wrong. You only need to complete tier 1 of the challenge (so akin to Borderlands 2 challenge trophy). Batter up tier 1 is 50 kills.
So well done, you can stop now.

@CaptD no way! Well that’s cool I guess. Thing is I have this awesome electrified shuriken that I’m gonna want to keep using 🤔.

@HallowMoonshadow I went with a Male Half-Elf Paladin. I'm trying to be good for the most part. Sometimes Lae'zel and Astarion don't like it, but they'll still stick around. There's the rare occasion I act mean to make them feel better.

@Ravix So, after restarting the game, I’m now 25 hours into a new playthrough (I literally spent all day playing this game), and it is absolutely phenomenal. Now that’s I have my bearings, and I understand how the game works, I can’t get enough of it. I’ve done so many side quests that feel integral to the main story and I’ve yet to even smell getting to the wedding, ha. What is even better is how you can see and feel your character getting stronger, better, and even more confident.

The best thing is it will sense that you have started to feel a new confidence and will seek to give you a good hard slap down to earth at some point, such is life... but now you know the bounties it offers so it might not wound you as severely 😁

that's a pretty good turn around, anyway. Jesus Christ Be Praised.
