@seinfeldfanatic well I hope that you’re able to get a decent price what with the RAM shortage etc. hopefully Sony will remain unaffected by the point you’ve saved up the cash 🤞. What games are you planning on playing?

Personally, I’d already mapped out my 2026 gaming schedule a while back but I have recently made the decision to make some alterations to mark a particular era in gaming. I’m gonna try and reshuffle my roadmap to get atleast one Xbox game in per quarter to commemorate their 25th anniversary.

First up will be Gears of War: Reloaded, which I and a group of guys will be starting in January. Then I’ll be trying to fit in Forza Horizon 5, Halo: Campaign Evolved and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and maybe a few more if possible.

I’m also trying to lower the sheer amount of games that I intend on play’n & plat’n in 2026 down to 35. It’s still a real tough ask though, given the total amount of hours required but should be just about doable.

@Spectralmews currently closing in on 50… I’ve also set up my January 2026 too, to hopefully get its 3 scheduled plats on New Years Day to give myself a decent head start to the year… I’m massively ocd btw 😉

I have 4 games i will buy in '26. Crimson Desert, Saros, GTA 6, and Wolverine. Phantom Blade Zero was on the list, but Where Winds Meet fills that spot for now. Im sure I'll buy others, but these 4 will be at full price.

@Spectralmews isnt the Wolverine game a 2027 release? I havent heard much about the game recently.

I'm genuinely excited for 2026 now. Feels like a year we haven't had since the PS2 era, because pretty much all of my favourite things are getting new games!

007 First Light
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight
Shenmue III Enhanced
Star Trek Voyager: Across the Unknown
Star Wars: Galactic Racing
Star Wars: Zero Company
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis

It's also a fair bet that the next mainline Sonic game will be coming out. All they'd need to do is shadow-drop the Venom interquel and stick Godzilla in something and I'd have total coverage!

As far as my immediate plans go, I'm gonna hopefully start the year with Star Wars: Outlaws. I did hesitate the other day but, seeing as the forthcoming Star Wars games aren't cinematic story-driven action adventures, I think I'm still safe to proceed. I'm also gonna carry on making a dent in the Ace Attorney series and if there's time, try to get into Deus Ex.

Going to actually platinum some of my fave games, some of which are reaching ten years old so it's about time. Unravel, Gris, No Man's Sky, Uncharted 4, Sayonara Wild Hearts, Paradise Killer and a couple more. No big effort needed by any stretch but it's time to get closure on them.

Buy a bunch of games starting with RE Requiem, and hopefully get at least 3 Platinums, and go thru some more of my backlog and play some great bangers!

I’m going to come up with some bonafide goals/resolutions when we pass the year mark, but overall I want to really get some nice Pro experiences. I still have so many games in the backlog that are PS4 games, and I’ll not totally ignore those or standard PS5 games, but I’d really like to play several games that utilize the Pro capabilities well.

Looking at games in my backlog that means the likes of Horizon Forbidden West, GoW Ragnarok, Death Stranding 2, FF7 Rebirth, Alan Wake 2, Clair Obscur, and Silent Hill 2 (presuming they patch it as promised) will get a closer look than some other games in my library.

Also it depends when the PSSR update drops, and how that affects things. Presumably that will make even more games enhanced, so it might open up more options.

Also, I think the only game so far that I might buy at launch next year is Saros. Oh, and probably Wolverine. With a close eye on Tides of Annihilation, which is giving Clair Obscur vibes as far as sleeper hit to me.

I don't have a PS5, but I do have a PS4, so I think that counts enough, right?

Neptunia games. That's it. 😅

My top 5 favorite games:
1: Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1
2: Pokémon Violet
3: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
4: The Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening (2019)
5: Animal Crossing New Horizons

@Th3solution Oh buddy, if you're gonna play Horizon Forbidden West on your PS5 Pro, I can't wait to see the screenshots! Please do share, if possible!

Th3solution

@Werehog Will do! I’m barely using a fraction of my 2 TB drive on my Pro so plenty of room for screenshots! I need to get back in the routine of chronicling my gaming moments.
