I have two others (Gotham Knights and Horizon: Forbidden West, to be specific) but they don't have concrete release dates yet, whereas the above do. I'll be picking them up and staring at their boxes until I'm ready to get the console which plays them.

@JohnnyShoulder Thanks... except I won't. Not that I'm a tech snob or anything, but knowing that there'll be a better version of it out there makes me wanna wait. I think everything I'd buy a PS5 for can be played on PS4 and that's kinda great for those who can't upgrade, but I can. I just wanna be patient, as I'm rarely an early adopter of new tech (early model numbers break) and my backlog is extensive enough to keep me busy (it's now somewhere in the mid-60s, which is an improvement over the 74 it used to be).

@RogerRoger Fair enough, not sure if i would have the willpower to refrain from playing Horizon FW, especially if I actually had the game!

@JohnnyShoulder I'm hoping that its vague "2021" release date means that it'll be closer to Christmas, along with Gotham Knights, because by then I'll have either cleared my backlog, or snapped.

Of course, I'm being totally selfish in that hope, so apologies for that!

@RogerRoger You don't need to clear your backlog completely. You can play those games on the 5. Just buy it!

Well... ignoring cross-gen it would be:

@nessisonett Talkin' bout Bugsnax, it's definitely one of the two games I'll buy at system launch.

There aren't any PS5 exclusives I'm interested in yet.

If we count PS4 and cross-gen games, then I am looking forward to Ys IX: Monstrum Nox, Horizon Forbidden West, and Kena: Bridge of Spirits.

SMT III: Nocturne HD Remaster is probably my most hyped game also releasing on PS4 next year, but I'll be going Switch for that one.

For me it's:

Ooh I forgot about Resi 8, I’m proper excited for that one.

For PS5 specifically it's probably

I would put Persona 6 though as an honorary mention because I suspect it's probably close to announcement now that next year is the series' 25th anniversary.
