@Oram77 I've always found the bonus skins that Capcom do for RE very strange. They are almost always quite jarring if you care about being emersed in the story/world. I can't think of many times I've used alternate skins. Of the 2 shown I think I'd be more inclined to use the Apocalypse one. I wonder what the other 3 skins are?
The steelbook looks pretty sweet.
@BearsEatBeets Yeah I know what you mean, I suppose Resident Evil hasn't been immersive since the PS1 days, but the Lady D skin does look awesome I'm going to lie. Yup I'm already sold on the deluxe for the steelbook alone lol.
@Oram77 I think the title of the article is bit misleading though. It's an outfit/look for Grace rather than playing as the statuesque Lady herself.
Anyway, going by that tweet you posted shouldn't the official reveal be in the next few hours?
@Vermines I completely agree with you, Village is one of my least favourite main line games, the story was just way too wacky even by RE standards lol.
Requiem looks really good. I've still not played Village so I'm not sure if I should rectify that or not. I don't see myself getting this on day one but you never know.
@Kairuuu I would highly recommend Village! I know many folks, like above, think it's a weaker entry, but I personally really enjoyed it. Just don't go into it expecting the classic horror RE feel, and instead the sillier more action-packed feel of 4 and you should be good to go. It has its faults for sure, but I prefer it over the 3 Remake or 7.
@Tjuz Yeah, I’ve played Biohazard but just never picked up Village when it released for whatever reason. I might give it a go at some point if it goes on sale and I find the time to play it.
@Jammer I have the steelbook on preorder while it pales to the MGSD and Silent Hill f ones, I still think it looks good. Yeah I hope Grace turns out to be a character and could hold the RE torch going forward.
Early reminder for everyone, there is going to be a Resident evil showcase in January, I would imagine it's only about RE9 (duh), but you never know they could drop some news on a new remake which I believe the latest bets are either CVX or Zero.
@Oram77 I'm less inclined to think that is Racoon City due to what they did to it but I suppose with it being long after maybe 'New' Racoon City could have been built nearby. Regardless, it looks good and I'm curious as to how large the sections of the map will be (and this one specifically). I don't think open-world is the way to go but hubs larger than previous games could be interesting. Not long to find out.
@BearsEatBeets@Jammer I think you two are probably right, that this is not Racoon city, I was looking at the shops/signs and thought they are throw backs to RE2/RE3. I'm almost certain the game director has said there is no open world areas, which honestly is for the best, close in enviorments = scary. Either way I have complete faith that Capcom will smash the game out of the park, with only my personal concerns being
1) The length (anything between 12 - 16 hours would be perfect
2) Replayabilty (if it's anything like RE4R then I have nothing to worry about)
