Topic: PS5 internet lagging compared to PS4

I live in a rural area where the best speed around is Uverse 6mb so my speed is slow. On my PS4 I would always get at least 5.5mb down consistently with a wired connection and i wouldn't really lag with any game, including modern warfare. When I got the ps5 I got all games downloaded and when I went to play I was lagging more than I have ever lagged in my life. I was teleporting for god sakes. I ran a speed test on both sitting beside each other ps4 wifi and ps5 wired. The ps4 got its usual 5.5mbs, the ps5 got 0.3 kbs. Freaking KILOBYTES!!!! There is something in the ps5 software throttling my internet and idk if anyone might know what it is. I have port forwarded and put my ps5 in a DMZ on router. Once again I know they are slow internet speeds but understand that I never lagged in the ps4 and get better speeds through it. Any thoughts?

I never got amazing speeds out of my PS4 Pro from my internet connection (Hard wired) download would be around 20mbs and upload was around 7msb.

Server speeds on the PS5 seem a lot better (Hard wired) with downloads around 40mbs and upload around 15mbs.

I guess you live far away from the exchange? what Ping rating do you usually get from speed tests?

Might be worth checking THREE network and see if it's worth paying for a 4G router if you get a good signal in your area?

I think he lives in the US, seeing as he uses uverse (AT&T). Probably not a lot of options. There's surely a communication issue between his router and the PS5. Not sure what it could be though.
