@TraCuz- yeah I’m playing it on PS5 so, while the Directors Cut will have an even higher resolution… I’m getting 60 frames at above 1400p (or so I think anyway). It’s frikking beautiful to look at either way… I haven’t played Demons Souls PS5 (I do have it but just waiting on the right time) nor Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart yet but right now either Ghost or God of War is the best looking game I’ve played.

Dude, even though it’s literally sucking up all of your gaming time leaving none for anything else, the fact that you are clearly enjoying the **** out of it means you’re spending your time on the right thing. I’ll check out that vid and get back to you when I get 5.

@colonelkilgore Not gonna lie I wish I waited to play it on PS5, I think Ghost has hit me the hardest when it comes to 30fps vs 60fps out of all games. The change is massive. I'm also conflicted about the Director's Cut since I had a bit of a data issue when going to PS4 to PS5 and allllll of my Ghost data got deleted. I had pretty good progress towards the platinum too. I'm worried that I have to beat the game again to access the new content. Which isn't an issue since I love the game, but there's just finding the time to do it xD.

I just wish I completed MGS4 before my FFXIV odyssey. Also a bit of context for the video: The game initially released very bad and they took the servers down to fix the game. Well when they shut the servers down they also made it apart of the story. Months before the end date a red star appeared and got bigger and bigger as the date approached. They also spawned high level enemies all over the game world that could barely be defeated. Once the timer hit zero, this trailer played.

@TraCuz- yeah that video is incredibly epic! I’m a huge fantasy fan and it looks like a world I could definitely get lost in, full of awesome looking character designs. Maybe once I hit 100 Platinum’s I’ll treat myself to a game that could take up over 6 months of my time… maybe 😉.

Devastated about your GoT data loss, as great a game as it is… you really don’t wanna have to replay everything you’ve already done during your playthrough. Still, if you get the pang to play it again, the Directors Cut will be perfect for you.

@TraCuz- so just re-read your post with the extra bit of context you added about the pre-server shut-down activity and then the trailer playing at the conclusion of the count down. Even though the game was supposedly nowhere near as good then as it is today, that must’ve been an epic experience for the players back then.

@TraCuz- I think in the Push Square article it said you need play until Act 2 to unlock the new island for the expansion, so not too bad.

I used WiFi to port just my PS4 game saves and a few games. Hard wiring is faster I’m sure, but the process of being on the same WiFi was actually pretty quick. Maybe 2 hours for all my saves and like 4-5 games. Then I downloaded another 3-4 games from
the PSN, which is at least twice as fast as the same sized files on my PS4. And yeah, the PS Plus collection is pretty awesome. I’ve played most of them but there are a couple quality titles I’m glad to have instantly like RE7. But as far as the how’s of doing the port process, it will walk you through it when you fire it up.

The upgrading from PS4 to PS5 versions of games is a little strange to me, tbh. You have to be careful and check but use the three dot (…) button to check for the PS5 version to download. Some games automatically default to the PS4 version, some download both. It’s a little strange. The icon of the game will have a little “PS4” label, whereas PS5 games don’t have any label saying “PS5”.

I haven’t really used a extended HD so can’t speak to it.

@colonelkilgore Yes 100%! Glad it resonated with you, such a world to get lost in. It would've been so cool to be present for that world event.

Random thought: now that Ghost of Sushi and Death Stranding are getting re-released in 2021, how many GOTY awards will they be winning again?
Asking because a random Mortal Kombat related tweet made me realize that MK11 Ultimate was the fighting GOTY ‘20 and it was just a re-release of a ‘19 game.

@Voltan I’d be surprised if they’d consider those director’s cut / ultimate editions for GOTY, but we don’t really know how expansive the additional content for either of these games is going to be, so maybe it’s a possibility. The pool of fighting games is quite a bit smaller so it’s easier to see why they’d consider an ultimate edition for that category

@Voltan Sony usually announce these things quite suddenly, it wouldn't surprise me if it was in the next week or two. Although, I hear the hold up is with CoD which is supposed to be in the show.

@Voltan Yeah for Thursday. There is gonna be indies and third party stuff too, so it is just not gonna be only Deathloop.

Quite like the look of Deathloop but even I’ve seen far too much from it now.

@JohnnyShoulder Oh good, I just saw some tweets and hurried over here to post the news before reading the blog post. Hopefully some updates on some of those cool indies then.

It also says there won't be any updates on GoW, Horizon or the new VR in this one but they will have more updates during the summer.

@nessisonett Yeah I'm the same with Kena too. Both look really good, but I've seen enough of them already.

Anyone got any recommendations for a good fight pad? 3 trophies away from the platinum in GG Strive but I'm not landing my moves as often as I like because of the Dualsense D pad. Fantastic game though, first in the series for me and I'm really enjoying it!

@Voltan Just 5 & 6 lost way more matches than I've won but even then it's just so fun to play. Do you have a main? I'm kind of just trying out everyone, definitely a game I'll play a lot of and hopefully improve at as I sink more time into it. The story was bonkers I finished watching it last night!
