@nessisonett This does make me laugh on the console description on Very;

DUE TO THE EXTREMELY LIMITED SUPPLY OF THIS PRODUCT AND TO BE FAIR TO EVERYONE, WE ARE LIMITING PURCHASES TO ONE ITEM PER ACCOUNT. ANY ADDITIONAL ORDERS PLACED WILL BE CANCELLED.

Play has no Limits

I got mine through SimplyGames. I registered my interest and when they got stock in, they emailed only those who registered and can only order their 'bundles' through the email - again just 1 per address so I was able to get hold of one this time - should be delivered tomorrow as I have had Dispatch and Courier information now too...

Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??

Feel free to add me but please send a message so I know where you know me from...

@Thrillho By announcing in advance when it goes it on sale, that plays into scalpers hands too. I assume by doing it at an odd time they are trying to reduce the traffic to their site so it doesn't crash.

Not sure where to pose this question, but anyone have updated thoughts on Destruction All-Stars? I’m just curious.
I get the feeling it’s a crash and burn (pun intended). It looked pretty decent to me, but do you think it will have any staying power? And is there anything to the game from a single player perspective?

@Th3solution I've downloaded it, but haven't even bothered to start it yet. Which is saying something lol. Maybe I'll give it a try soon.

@Octane I’m just wondering if/when I get a PS5, if that’s a game that likely to take much of my time. I doubt it, but some of the video clips I saw looked decent. If it has some kind of single player component then I’m more apt to spend time on it.
Otherwise my PS5 backlog consists of Astrobot’s Playroom (probably first one to play), Control (playing that for sure), Bugsnax (a definite maybe), and Maneater (even more of a maybe). Not to mention the PS Plus collection titles that I’ll add to the list — Days Gone (pretty sure I want to give this a go on PS5), and Resident Evil 7 (eventually will get to this). Others in the collection that might make it onto the backlog would be Crash Bandicoot, Fallout 4, and Monster Hunter World.

Anyways, I hate to ignore Destruction All-Stars since it was prominently held up as a PS5 gem to look forward to, but I’ve got plenty of other games already for PS5 (and I don’t even have a console yet 😅)

@Kidfried Good to know! I was lukewarm on Bugsnax anyways. To me it doesn’t strike me as anything I couldn’t experience on PS4. From a technical standpoint is it very impressive? It looks like a game that could easily be on PS4 or Switch.

Do you think Control is over-rated? I’ve held off playing it on PS4 because of the technical limitations, and I’ve been excited to play it on the latest tech.

@Th3solution Control is a genuinely good game that does a lot I like but it deleted my save more than once and it just sorta ends. The technical issues also made me nauseous due to the specific colour palette, motion blur and frame dips. Only a couple of games have done that for me so if you’re susceptible to that stuff, probably play the PS5 version. I would probably say it’s underrated if anything, it’s far and away better than a lot of exclusives despite its shortcomings and does try to create a new and exciting experience which works more than it doesn’t.

@Th3solution Control is genuinely a good game, but yes, it does sorta end in a weird way.

Bugsnax is neat, but it's graphically not very impressive. It's an indie game after all.

@Th3solution You forgot to add Demon's Souls to your backlog.

@JohnnyShoulder I actually do think it might be an early purchase. I’m collecting quite a few PS5 games for free though through PS Plus, so that’s all I’m counting for now. As for PS5 purchases I’m wanting Demon’s Souls, and Miles Morales. Also want Returnal, so long as it reviews well, and then Ratchet & Clank. Everything else I can think of that’s coming in the next 4 months I am willing to play on PS4 or not at all.

Th3solution

@Kidfried That’s definitely one of the reasons I’m motivated to get one also. I’m definitely happy to play my PS4 backlog for the next year, but I’d like to do it via backwards compatibility with a few PS5 developed games mixed in from time to time. I feel like even if I got a PS5 tomorrow that 90% of my game time would be on PS4 games over the next 4 months anyways.

@Th3solution Demon's Souls if nothing else is a graphical showcase for PS5, but it is also a great game there too.

And yep PS4 games are a dream to play. The quick loading and the console being super quiet makes me think how I put up with my ps4 for so long lol.

Finally managed to get my PS5 in a bundle with an extra DualSense because the Walmart Canada gods smiled upon me during this morning's stealth drop

Guess I can officially come into this thread without feeling like an outsider

@TheFrenchiestFry Congratulations. Which games are you firing up first? I picked up The Pathless for £23, Might start that once I finish the story in Shadow of the Tomb Raider!

@MightyDemon82 First priorities are Miles Morales, Demon's Souls and Devil May Cry 5 SE but since I never got the Nioh games physically but own them on PC I might as well get the Nioh Collection as well since I love those games

I'm also probably now going to order Persona 5 Strikers on PS4 as well though I'm playing it on PC first as a Digital Deluxe owner

UK PS5 hunters..

So after Very, Argos, John Lewis, and now Smyths have all had drops this week (and often at silly times in the morning), one of the tracker twitter accounts is expecting GAME to drop theirs on Tuesday.

I've updated my card and address details on their site just in case.

This is still me "not being fussed" about getting a console yet as well.

@Th3solution In regards to Destruction All stars for me I don't think it will quite hit the heights of fall guys and such. I've played it in total of 2 hours over the space of about 5 days and I think I'm ready to get rid of it to be honest. It's a fun little game and the graphics are impressive but it's one of them that ultimately your gonna have to devote alot of time to it to be a half decent player because they'll be people playing it 24/7 and they'll be kicking your rear everytime lol I'm not a massive car game guy anyway so that probably also has something to do with it but when there's so many other games to play I can't really justify putting time in to a really average game tbh.

Astro's playroom is a definite and it only takes 4 to 5 hours to plat it so its worth it all round.

I'll probably give Bugsnax and Maneater a miss to be honest.

Days gone on the ps5 is brilliant as I imagine are most of them ps plus collection games because I completed Ratchet & Clank and that was awesome on the ps5 as well.
