Hello people; I would like to share with you a very bad experience I had with my PS5:
I recently purchased the Last of Us Part 1 (disk version); I buy big games on disk since we have very slow internet connection. After the install, update 1.002 was due to be downloaded (24Gb). So it took me from Monday till today to finish it since I’m not downloading all the time. To my delight, I started the game a couple of hours ago where it asks the languages I need to play. I chose French as text language since I prefer French subtitles. Unfortunately, it needed another 1Gb of downloading. So I went to game file management to delete the French language before ending the download. For whatever reason, an error occurred with the download file which I chose to delete and to my horror, the full game was deleted !!! And now I’ll be redownloading the full 24 Gb download for a second time.
Well I guess I won’t be playing Last of Us this weekend after all.
@guardianoftime but in all seriousness, just skip the update/turn off the internet to the PS5 in the network settings and play the version on the disc. There are obviously improvements with the updates but I doubt they are major. And then when you’ve had your fill for a while you can download the update and carry on. At least you can play it over the weekend then.
