@Voltan I’d forgotten about Forspoken, however I’m not convinced I’m going to enjoy that from what I’ve seen so far.

@lolwhatno @Col_McCafferty It sounds like there’s plenty of good and bad things about Elden Ring just like there are with Horizon. I’m having plenty of fun with this so far though and for me it’s an excellent example of the genre. Even if I’m just doing some of the more mundane tasks I’m finding it hard to put down of an evening.

Biggest take away of the game so far and mild spoiler but for anyone that’s done the Seeds of the Past mission - can’t believe that even in 2050 there’s going to be backwards compatibility issues!

@render At least Cyberpunk is an FPS/RPG, so there's some variety there even if they are all open world. I plan on playing that after I'm done with Horizon Forbidden West, which will be a lot later than you as I'm nowhere near as far along as you are.

@KilloWertz I’m not sure I’m too much further ahead. My rate of play will definitely decrease now as my week off work is over so I’m not going to play till so late in the week. Probably for the best though as don’t want this to end too soon 😉

Also looks like ridgewood is growing everywhere these days…

@render Oh, you definitely are. You've played it for over 55 hours. I'm still somewhere in the teens.

Wait, how did you get ridgewood to grow? Is it pretty wild where you live? Yes, I know it's not your's...

After 48 hours of play time I got my first silver trophy. Yay!

@MightyDemon82 @KilloWertz Ha ha yeah I harvested that ridgewood and looted a few chests I saw lying around while I was at it. You know you are thinking about a game too much when you see things from the game in everyday life. Luckily I didn’t come across any clawstriders 🤣

I made some progress in the arena, which allowed me to buy a legendary hunter bow. Nice.
Now I dread acquiring parts I need to upgrade it 😟

@Voltan @velio84 How many challenges did you need to do for that bow? It looks awesome but I got as far as the 3rd challenge and left it there for now. Those upgrades sound painful 😅

@colonelkilgore How spoilery is it? I started watching it and then saw something I’d done quite recently so turned it off quickly. I did enjoy their one about Returnal.

Probably one of the most wholesome channels in YouTube.

Been doing loads of side quests today and they are just great. Had a run in with a Rock Breaker during one, I forgot how deadly those things are also got chased into a cave by a Leap Slasher & Wide Maw. Intense stuff especially as I had no healing items and very little health.

I can confirm that I am way behind as I was Level 17 after finally overriding my first Tallneck. I did skip over it when I initially discovered it, but still...

Now back to the Forbidden West...

I've entered another story area and the game keeps amazing me with its environments.

I spent pretty much all day just hunting animals for upgrades. I'm going to lose so many hours to this game lol.
