Anyone else notice when spinning the "roulette" prize thing you always, literally every single time, get the smallest prize?! Ive probably done at least 50 of them and without fail everytime I get the smallest credit pile. Not a huge deal as credits are pretty easy to come by but slightly annoying and reminds me of mobile gaming a bit.

@Fragile Yeah its pretty wild, not a dealbreaker just extremely bizarre.

@nathanSF it absolutely is! A couple warts definitely don't take too much away from the brilliance overall. I'm about 30 hours in and still having a blast and it'll only get better over time!

@velio84 I play with corner indicators. Using the bumper cam you can miss the turn in if its over a dip and you don't know the course. Ive Played around with everything and am finding the driving line is pointless and can actually hinder you, the red braking zones are hit and miss. As you said those things elongate the learning process. Better to have them all off bar corner indicators.

I don't know if you've tried circuit experience yet? It's small parts of each track (usually a third) with a time to beat like licences. You can then learn to stitch all the sections together. Be aware though, the gold times are nasty.

I bought Gran Turismo 7 yesterday and I don't even know why. Downloaded it. No plans to start it.

I will do one day though.

@Kairu You will need to unlock quite a bit before you can jump online. A few of the licences are broken after the last update (dirt tracks) so don't be worried about only getting a bronze on them.

Once you've hit and opened all the bits send me a msg! We will run some online stuff. But be warned....
Im slow as duck.

@johncalmc do you have a car John? One of the great things about GT is you can drive a car you own and do it up. It's a great game and well worth playing.

@themcnoisy I have a Renault Megane. If I can buy one and tart it up like a boy racer I give this game 10/10 without starting it.

I find that choosing and beefing up one car for each class of race is just about affordable with the winnings. I find getting gold without a few 'racing' extras pretty tough going and have to retry races several times, which I don't find frustrating or a problem in the least - unlike some other games where a boss fight or challenge gets infuriating by taking up more time and attention than I'm okay with and breaks the narrative.
Perhaps the fact GT7 has no story makes a big difference. Either way, I feel I'm getting more of my money's worth.
Seeing how friends are doing is an incentive to try harder as it shows what is possible. My only constant abject failure is the bleedin' Fiat 500 tortoise race.
Happy to link up and see how others are getting on.

Do people here watch their replays after races? I do most of the time, always have done throughout the series.

Imagine if someone at Polyphony accidentally deleted everyones progress and now they are trying everything to fix it. Haha.

I’m the opposite, I think that would be the one thing that would cause me to ditch it completely. Couldn’t be arsed redoing 25 hours of racing. Haha.

@Fragile Some test runs I get gold within about ten minutes, others I try for over half an hour and can't get beyond silver. If only one good turn really did deserve another.

Someone I know got an email from PlayStation congratulating them on achieving the platinum trophy in 6 hours and 6 minutes.
Thing is they haven't even played (or purchased) the game

@Voltan I've been getting the odd random email from PlayStation telling me I've finished or platinumed a game but they are games that I played sometimes a year or more previous and in the emails where they should have had my stats inserted they are just full of % signs. It would be good if they just gave out a few free trophies though 😀

I'm still of the impression that they will introduce lots of special events and other ways of earning credits and that most people will play it this way rather than using MTs. I mean everyone is always in such a rush to finish / max out the game they are playing but what if the master plan is to hope that most people will play this game at a slightly more sedate pace. I mean that would mirror the real world more in that you'd have to work your way the ranks and race a lot to earn money to be able to afford more stuff. Those that are more successful can afford the really nice cars and those that are less so have to drive around in a Toyota Corolla for a while longer.

@velio84 You are right though that it should be possible to sell a car and the sale price should also include the upgrades that you've done to it. That would make it more fair.

I know everyone hates Gran Turismo 7 right now because of microtransactions and online shenanigans but I really like it. It's proper nerdy car nonsense. I like how all anyone cares about is cars and they're all going on about cars all the time. Who likes cars this much. It's madness.

Anyway, big fan of the cafe and I like painting my car different colours. The racing is too easy, probably. I'm fine with it. I like that I can buy my own car and tart it up with crazy paint and pictures and stuff. I like that I can somehow have my driver wear a Pikachu helmet.

It's all good.
