@nessisonett I found it totally accidentally. I was just wandering about, saw a thing, examined it, and next thing I knew I was over the other side of the map in a weird place. It's an excellent levelling up spot though.

A lot of minibosses in the open world. I stumbled on some town after a dude warned me about it, discovered the enemies there don't die, then realized death was paddling around in a little canoe, and he was the one I needed to slay. Pretty easy battle, but conceptually neat.

Now I'm going through the castle. Not a fan of giant birds with knives on their feet.

@CJD87 Thank you, that was a great tip. I actually found the exact spot you mentioned (after fighting past some weird octopus thing in a swamp).

Think I’m finally going to do the castle. +5 greatsword using the sombre stones and 9 flasks might be a bit overkill 😂

Still just exploring the open world. Have 3 dungeons completed. I haven't found the round table hub yet. I also just discovered the unsheathe ability for my samurai lol. It makes fighting way easier.

Make sure to visit patches and buy Margit’s shackle. It binds the first boss to the ground and let’s you and your dogs get free hits

@Mega-Gazz Ahh, of course, I was going to grind runes for it but totally forgot!

@Elodin Same here with Unsheath. Its making mincemeat of most enemies and staggers even those large troll enemies.

Today's journey so far has lead to beating a mad thing on a bridge, who really didn't like what was stuck in it's head. And freeing Alexander, a huge talking cauldron! 😂 I think it is voiced by the same bloke as onion knight. What do you reckon @nessisonett?

I almost beat Margit and had got them down to the last quarter of their health with two wolves and 5 flasks and they straight up hit me with a hammer attack that felt like it glitched me half way over the bridge and off the edge. I need a break lol! I found my favourite thing so far, some of the mini-dungeons might not be so mini! . I'm actually starting to take physical notes to keep track of side quests and things npcs are dropping hints about. The sense of discovery is so good

Anyone else notice that you don’t always get all your runes back when you retrieve them? Omen killing me in stormveil courtyard returns 2/3rd of them

nessisonett

@Mega-Gazz There’s a reason for that… that’s all I’ll say 😛

I love how much the game rewards exploring. Been trying to reach a piece of lot above grated scion and have found 2-3 hidden areas in the process.

I did the Castle Morne side-quest out of order, and I think it's just glitched and will never resolve now. Boo!

On the plus side, I found myself playing this until I was pretty bleary-eyed and has no idea what the time was, so I must be getting some level of enjoyment out of it.

Of course, considering how reliant on arrows I am, probably 40% of that time has been teleporting close to particular farming spot and slaughtering masses of the local wildlife on horseback.

@Ralizah
What happened?
Going through my inventory I found an item I should have given to the girl (I think). But was too late.
Anyway I’m glad I went there in early game because I found my
Claymore weapon I’m probably going to keep all the way (unless there s a black knight sword in ER but I doubt it now).

The crowd, accepting this immediately, assumed the anti-Eurasian posters and banners everywhere were the result of acts of sabotage by agents of Goldstein and ripped them from the walls.

Anyone else found their way down to Siofra River? I stumbled upon the entrance last night and was just gobsmacked

@danlk1ng Yep. It's a surprisingly expansive mini-region once you get deep enough. The rocky area stuffed with giant rats, spirit minotaurs, and snipers who can hit you from across the map is hell, though.

@Ralizah It took me by surprise when the rams started attacking me. 😂

I didn't realise, when it starts raining golden leaves, you actually get a buff for item discovery.

And enemies with golden eyes drop 5 times more runes.

Fought the ominously sounding Deathbird, which appears at night in Stormhill. The sound it makes is horrific.
