@Jimmer-jammer Congrats on getting to the end - 3 times as it turns out 😉. That's what I did as well and each ending proved quite interesting. Good luck on finishing off the other trophies.
@Jimmer-jammer I saw your post in the other thread and was going to ask which ending you got
Which trophies do you have left to mop up then?
So it's just me and you left standing then @JohnnyShoulder !
I got to the Tower no problem (not realising that's what I was even doing) when I went through Caelid/Dragonborrow but was getting smashed by the enemies so left it alone. I went back recently and got through no problem so it shouldn't be much of an issue for you.
@Thrillho Oh I suspect I'll still be here long after you have finished to meet and greet any new players who stumble in here. Kinda like an npc in a game.
Life is more fun when you help people succeed, instead of wishing them to fail.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.
@Thrillho I'm still here too!! 👋 bashing away after nearly 70 hrs since launch and making my way through the subterranean shunting grounds. Slowly but surely I'll get there 🐢
@R1spam Always good to have another tarnished in the Lands Between!
@Thrillho I just beat that Gargoyle outside the Bestium Sanctuary. I have put a load into vigor since I last faced it, and maybe facing two of them gave me a lot of practice. I stayed really close to it and most of the swings either missed me completely or I rolled past them. As the AoE attacks are highly telegraphed, I just kept my distance to avoid them.

@JohnnyShoulder Nice. I've had a productive couple of hours this evening, managing to beat Mohg, Morgott, and then that gargoyle as well (ironically, the one that took me the most attempts!).
@R1spam Welcome to our little club Good luck with that region as I was around lvl100 and those Omen enemies still caused me all sorts of grief in that area.
@Thrillho I'm level 108 and those guys still hit real hard! Not as hard as that grafted monster in the jail cell further down in the dungeon! I have managed to find my way to the dungeater, through the catacombs and have unlocked the first shortcut back to the grace. @JohnnyShoulder I got teleported there what seems a lifetime ago now! Stole the talisman, ran like hell and never looked back. I should head back there sometime 😂. The game is so vast it can be hard to keep track of app the threads
@R1spam Same here and I only just got back there! Some of the red eye enemies hit hard but I've also levelled up a fair few times too! Think I will go back to Altus Plateau as I've only done some of it.

I cleared out some more of the Hero Grave locations this morning and god, I really hate those chariots!
After that, I pushed on East from Leyndell, having beaten Morgott, and made it to the end of the Forbidden Lands which was a cool location after the city.
I took a detour to beat the Fell Twins as well. A cool aesthetic to that fight but I’m not sure it was meant to be so easy with me and Mimic Tear bro using Bloody Slash to max effect
The talisman you get from the boss in the Leyndell catacombs is great for a blood build too.
@Jimmer-jammer I’ve had to look at a guide for a couple as they’re so obtuse.
The one outside Leyndell has a bit where you have to raise a platform which causes an extra chariot to appear so three all crash together and the path to the boss is cleared
@Jimmer-jammer Yeah, I think I picked that weapon up already.
I think it’s possible to drop weapons and items in co-op for someone to pick up though which can trigger the trophy so I don’t know if that would be an option if you don’t end up doing a full NG+ run.
Well, I've made it to the mountain top of the gods after literally melting the black blade kindred with the comet azur spell! Between that, my level 10 mimic tear and my +8 moonveil blade, I feel like I've been making some real progress last few sessions.
This may be the wrong place to post this considering the title, but I previously posted it on reddit and got torn to shreds, and was wondering what people here thought about it.
Elden Ring just hasn't clicked for me at all.
I don't have a ton of time for games, but after buying it around launch and having put 60 hours into the game, I'm near the end of elden ring. I just have the secret "hardest boss" (no spoilers for anyone) and the final boss left. And overall my thoughts are...it's alright?
Maybe it's just my expectations, my lack of time to explore the overworld, or a mixture of other things, but the game has just never fully gelled with me. I didn't play from software games until about two years ago, and since then have played dark souls, sekiro, and Bloodborne, with Bloodborne being the most recent and one of my favourite games of all time.
Elden Ring just hasn't connected with me in the same way. It doesn't have the amazing interconnected world of dark souls (I love metroidvanias so that helped!), the tight combat of sekiro, or the...everything of Bloodborne (that game felt like it was made for me).
I keep waiting for elden ring to click but it hasn't, and I think I finally need to accept it probably won't? I appreciate the build variety, but the large amount of options isn't something I really care too much about in these games. The world is beautiful, but too often I find a mini dungeon that's copy and paste with a miniboss, and the reward after all that work is a spell or weapon I don't need, can't use, or will never use. It completely disincentives me from exploring. The legacy dungeons, except for maybe stormveil, also fail to live up to the intricate level design I love so much in these games. The main story bosses have all been very good (except for a couple near the end) but the minibosses around the world do very little for me.
I will stress that I've still enjoyed the game. It's still got the combat system I love with awesome bosses, great music, and a wonderful world. But after all the hype, I just haven't been able to get into this game, especially after I've loved all the other from software games, and that's just made me a bit sad really. I was wondering if anyone else had experienced something like this, or what people who really love this game think about this? It's likely just a lack of time on my behalf, but I thought it was interesting that the from software game that's by far the most popular and clicking with the most people has done by far the least for me out of their titles that I've played
@BranJ0 Don’t worry, I’m over 120 hours in and have the same feelings as other From games; there’s a lot I like about the game but it’s not one I’d say I’ve “enjoyed” playing as such.
I would have been done with the game a long time ago if it wasn’t for my completionist tendencies and the fact I feel I deserve the platinum after spending this long on one game now!
@LN78 Yeah this is true, I think it's also just a feeling of frustration! I've been hyped for the past year for Elden Ring, and it's one thing if the game was a disappointment for everyone, but it's doubly frustrating that everyone in the world seems to adore it except for me! Ah well, fingers crossed this is a one-off as far as From's games go
@Thrillho I don't blame you after 120 hours, I'd say you've more than earned that platinum! It's a strange one overall: I've had play sessions where I've just been like "this is one of the best games I've ever played" and other sessions where I've considered just taking a break from it because I haven't been enjoying it at all. Maybe I'll figure out my feelings after I finish it and take some time!
