Anyone else having problems with disc read errors I bout a brand new game an it wouldn’t read neither would a compatible ps4 game an I have the latest firmware installed

This might sound stupid but I've seen this happen before - do you have your PS5 in the vertical position? If you do, are you 100% sure you're putting in the discs the right way?
In vertical, the disc's printed label needs to be facing left (towards the middle part of the console), which is the opposite of what it was for the PS4.

@Tgrinnan Try putting the disc in the other side up. It confused me too.

It worked I’ve never seen a system that ran label down appreciate it guys

@Tgrinnan It doesn't run label down - sounds like you might have the console upside down then? The disc drive is supposed to be on bottom left.
I guess the console's unusual shape can be confusing - apparently even Hermen Hulst (the head of PlayStation Wordwide Studios) had his upside down at one point (there's evidence on the interwebs).
If that's the case - make sure you get it right and use the stand

@Voltan Every single console I’ve owned has had label facing towards my front window. Except this one. I always have my consoles vertical if I can.

@Tgrinnan That means you put it upside down. This is what it should look like (notice the stand)
