I made this so people can discuss the UFC game and the upcoming UFC 2. Tbh I partly made this because I am looking for a more realistic fighting game and since there is no Fight Night in development I'm looking at getting UFC. I don't really watch the sport but would like to get into it more... My question is: Is the first UFC game accessible to people who don't really watch the sport and is there a good career mode?

I'm thinking of getting UFC mainly for a more realistic fighter and the career mode. Is it worth getting UFC now for £20 or getting the new one next month for £40? Any insight or information on the games would be much appreciated.

@TripleGK: Sounds like I'm better of waiting for the reviews of the second game and paying a bit more for all the gamemodes/ updated roster. I don't mind learning more about the ground game but I'll probably be trying to play mostly on my feet if that's possible. I heard that new UFC has improved the career mode aswell which is probably what I'll be most interested in. Thanks for the info.

I really liked UFC 1 but the controls for all the different moves was a humongous list, if you ever take a large break from the game you'd struggle. Pvp is fun when you're just kicking someone's face in until they pass out.

That's probably all I'll be doing, haha. I'm going to wait and see the Reviews for UFC 2 which is out next month I believe.

Been playing UFC 2 for a few days now and have to say it is a lot of fun. Only done the career mode so far started so well I was 10-0 getting stoppages in the first rounds with some nasty ground and pound. Then it all went wrong I got cocky trying to finish fights in certain ways and got taught a lesson. It would have been nice to see a bit more of an expanded career mode with managing more aspects than just training. The customisation of the fighters you create is decent as well. I forgot to name my character though so mine ended up being Player Name which was stupid with no way to edit after I confirmed selection. The ground game and grappling is not as hard as in previous UFC games I have played but still takes a lot of skill and timing. One thing I can not get the hang of though is submissions and also defending submissions I lose every time.

Ultimate team is a new feature but I think that you probably need to spend rea world money on that. If you are sitting on the fence about getting then game then give it a try.
