That's the third of the Cat Quest games brought to one hundred percent and just like the first two it was fun the whole way through. I'm surprised that Devs can keep improving on the series, I was prepared to find something about the game that might drag it down but the whole thing was smooth, well written and not at all sluggish. The new abilities were a nice change too and the pirate theme worked out better than expected. All three are worth running through and aren't that time consuming.

@GirlVersusGame
Congrats on your new shiny trophy.
And thanks for the info, I also did the first two and have considered playing the third, glad to hear it's still fun, simple and worth a play.

@sorteddan Thanks Dan. They are good games, though the first seems a lot older now compared to the second and third games. There's nothing overly difficult about the series and each one follows it's own theme. I see all three of them on Plus+ I think the second one is my favorite but that's because they introduced puppies and they did it in such a way that both are on screen at once, there's a switching mechanic which allows you to swap between each character. The A.I. controls the second one and you can build each to your liking, it's useful for healing or just to try playstyles. Each game offers physical attacks and magic, the third one includes a pistol for the pirate theme. There's a lot of humor in the games too, and some great puns. Levels, loot and gear come fast too, it definitely respects your time.

@Werehog Thanks! They were pretty short, I'm not sure if I'll go for one hundred percent on Infinite Wealth. I'm doing my level ten challenge at the moment. Which basically means seeing how fast I can get to double digits without doing anything story related, I just hit level eight. I can see why people like the franchise, I don't play nearly enough Japanese games. Are you working on anything yourself?

Same. This is something I'm gonna try and fix later in the year.
Not right away, though! My current plan is to start Spirit of the North 2 tomorrow. Its predecessor had a nice platinum, so I'm hoping for the same again.

@Werehog I didn't realize the second one was out until you mentioned it in another thread. We might have similar tastes in games, I really enjoyed it too. I'd hope people try it out before it leaves Plus in February. The same for Cult of The Lamb.

Just beat Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1+ and got 78% of the trophies, will not be going for the rest since my PS4 is going into storage soon.
My top 5 favorite games:
1: Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1
2: Pokémon Violet
3: Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
4: The Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening (2019)
5: Animal Crossing New Horizons

@Nep-Nep-Freak Take care Nep Nep, I'll say goodbye to you in this thread (I read why you are leaving) hopefully it won't be ten to fifteen years like you said. Congrats on beating the game too.

@Bundersvessel I should be playing Infinite Wealth but something tells me that platinum might take forever. I heard Thank Goodness You Are Here is quite fast, maybe I'll cheat a little and that can be one of them. I was curious about Still Wakes the Deep too, how about you? Killer Frequency is worth checking out if you haven't. I see your Fire Walk With Me, so you might have already.

Well done on the plats, I really enjoyed Still Wakes the Deep. I haven’t played VS as it doesn’t really look like my bag but people do rave about it.
@GirlversusGame
I’ve yet to play Yakuza IW but I did buy the dlc which is currently on sale.
After purchase I immediately gave it a one star review.
My latest plat is The Talos Principle 2, a brilliant game but an awful plat because of missables. The game is designed to be played three times, yes three times for a puzzle game where the puzzles are always the same and despite following a guide I still struggled with one trophy which was supposed to be the easiest of the three to get (go figure) but I did eventually get it by replaying a short sequence multiple times (I think six) and making different dialogue choices.
8.5/10 enjoyment although one playthrough is more than enough tbh.
10/10 platinum journey stress.
@CaptD
Do it! Vampire Survivors is awesome!!! Looks like cack but very fun and very addictive... Probably the best value game I ever bought - around £3 i think. And platted on both PS4 and PS5.
As for myself, just picked up my latest Shiny with Silent Hill 2 Remake. Loved it. Though had to do an extra run after missing one early memo during my collectable run (doh!). It did allow me to get the final ending I hadn't seen though so I can say I'm now fully done with the game.
Just over 40 hours total though a few of them were probably paused game reading internet guides!
@sorteddan Ah, the collectible run screwed you over in the end after all! Happy to hear that it didn't get you down at least, and you still managed to get the plat in a reasonable time. Congrats!
@Tjuz
Yeah but managed to do another 5 hour run using a more detailed (memos only) guide. Would have preferred not to do so but didn't really sour the experience much. Thanks.

@Bundersvessel @sorteddan
I will add VS to the list, crazy amount of DLC trophies but thankfully only two sets of them require purchasing and I do like to 100% my games.
PS. I watched a review earlier and I do like the fact that you don’t need to fire, just (to quote Mike Reid) runaround.
@CaptD Congrats on that, I looked at a guide for it after I played Viewfinder. I thought another casual puzzle game might be fun and an easy plat but what I saw and what I read made me think otherwise. I tried Cyberpunk instead, that was a fairly straight forward one hundred percent (I did mix and match some saves for endings) but the story was brilliant. I liked Viewfinder because it focused on photography and the puzzles had no one proper solution, different methods worked. It was more about finding what worked for you, really unique game. I might try A Little to The Left, I think I played it on the Switch. I need to try Carto, Lake and Coffee Talk. I'm not sure about Infinite Wealth, the platinum says 'very rare' and I'm very skeptical. I think it's because Paw Patrol said four hours, it was over thirty. I'll have to start doing side things, I'm sure they'll be part of that end requirement.
Darts are rough in this game, I just tried and luckily it says to only play ten mini games not 'win' ten mini games. I spoke too soon 'Obtained 10 certificates from the Ounabara Vocational School' school? this is going to be a long game.
Sooo the for like the past week I have been smashing my face against the wall trying to get these two trophies:
Listen I have done some hard trophies (getting platinum for Outlast 2 or Rebirth for example, heck I have done incredibly grindy trophies (dodging 200 lightning bolts in a row or max out the sphere grid for FFX for example). But I'm sorry these have to be the most egregious trophies of all time, last night I must have spent like 3 hours trying to find a Western Moose but couldn't... Also the fact that they are only BRONZE is the biggest slap in the face ever.
@Oram77 Is that Red Dead 2? The animals and flowers are why I don't have one hundred percent. I'm convinced some just wouldn't spawn. The fact that the game is so old and they are still Ultra Rare speaks volumes, grats and how did you not lose your mind? Did you spend a whole week doing that?
