Platinum #51 for Guacamelee 2

I’ve had this sat on my console for a while after replaying the first game on hard for the plat. It was the same for this one and I managed it easily enough.

I planned on getting the good ending and got 4/5 secret key parts but got fed up with the enemy gauntlet part for the last one.

Still a solid, fun game though and it would be great to see another.

#26 - Lego Marvel Super Heroes. Yes, I already had about 25% of the game done before going back a few days ago once I beat Lego Indiana Jones 2. Not much point leaving it until later. Anyway, it’s aged quite a bit but then I’ve played a whole lot of games between it being the first game I played on Wii U and now on the PS5. The voice acting is rubbish as well. Instantly makes the cutscenes unbearable instead of being really funny like the old mumbling ones such as Harry Potter and Star Wars. A decent trophy list but some stinkers there such as transforming into the Hulk 50 times. Which takes longer than it sounds. The levels are horribly slow even on free play too so it took patience and a couple of Doctor Who audio plays to get through.

@Thrillho congrats on Guacamelee 2, I loved the first one so much that I immediately bought a slew of metroidvanias… and haven’t ended up playing one since!. Seeing your recent plat for this might be just the reminder I need.

… and congrats also to @nessisonett, someone should build them a platinum out of Lego at this rate.

@colonelkilgore It’s pretty much more of the same really. I think the chicken abilities are slightly different but the human ones are the same. Still good fun though.

@ThereThere Both games are still good fun and not that long at all; this run was under 10hrs and I think my initial 100% run was only around 15hrs.

The first game came out on PS3 but the art style means they don’t feel that aged. They’re just fun metroidvania type games with some good combat mechanics and some decent platforming.

I'm one speed run off having the Stray plat but I didn't fancy jumping straight back into it yet (I'm not a fan of speed runs) so instead started Artful Escape last night and just popped the plat! Fun game, you can't really fail it, but I can't imagine I'd return to it in the future. The cast list is ridiculous!

@ScarletSpidey congrats on The Artful Escape plat, such a cool little game. Good luck for whenever you attempt that Stray speed run.

@ScarletSpidey Nice work on the Artful platinum. I’m also one speedrun away from the Stray platinum so will have to get that done at some point. Really enjoyed it so it won’t be a chore.

My latest, #103 The Last of Us Remastered

Loved it. Such a good game and still holds up well today. It only gets better on the hardest difficulties.
