@colonelkilgore
I found Red Dead 2 to be a real slow burner and found it difficult to connect with, once I did it turned out to be an absolute epic great and well deserving of all of the praise I had seen it recieve. It just took some time adapting to its pace I think. Had no desire to do all the extra miles required for the platinum though, so good luck but I already know you will have the determination to see if through.

GoW3 - my main memory was the final battle on the hard playthrough. That was very much a test of ability, dexterity and determination. Got my arse kicked, restarted and felt like giving up sooooo many times!! eventually managed it and claimed that shiny.

@RogerRoger I’m not even kidding when I say that it’s one of the most irritating games I’ve ever played. And it even had the audacity to crash on me several times! Hopefully I have a better time with Lego Star Wars III, which I never played at the time.

@sorteddan I’ve found the odd road-block throughout all the old ‘em]God of War[/em] games tbh, so I figured that 3 wouldn’t be any different. Looking forward to clearing the series from my backlog though, I’ve been chipping away at them for the last 2 or 3 years 😅.

And as for RDR2, I’m really hoping that I don’t get too burned out on it. I know it’ll be a long 3 months… but it is a nice change of pace from how intense my gaming schedule has felt this past 2 years.

@RogerRoger
Ha. First playthrough I searched every part of that forest, two or three times and only managed to find about 10 spirits. Didn't occur to me that they would only show up after you 'rescued' them during the other chapters. Was quite a relief when it was more populated after my chapter select clean-up. It must have saved the ones I'd already encountered as I didn't need to fully complete the search when I went back.

@sorteddan grats in another one.

@RogerRoger haha yeah the Lego games are petty funny. The jokes they make with the references to the stories are sometimes brilliant. I wish the Skywalker saga plat was a lit shorter. According to the guides it's 100 hours and since I'm slow it will be 140 is hours for me easily. Even though I loved it, it is to much grinding. Guess I'll do another Lego plat soon

@RogerRoger 77 hours doesnt seem so bad, ive done long games before. My first 3 plats were Horizon Forbidden West, Ghostwire Tokyo and Ghost of Tsushima, all long games to plat. I think the biggest problem is after i finished the story and got all True Jedi on each level i was on only 35% of the trophies. Seeing i probably needed a guide for the rest was what put me off most. But who knows maybe ill return to it if i crave some more Lego Star Wars at another time in the future.

ScarletSpidey

Congrats @Lavalera @nessisonett @serteddan on your plats!

Plat #30 - Ape Escape: Got a bit tiresome towards the end but it was nice to complete a game I never managed to finish as a kid (I think I got frustrated with the controls). I hope more PS1 titles get trophy support. Where is Gex?!

Now working on Stray but Can't Catch Me is proving to be a nightmare.

Also working on Fallguys. If anyone else is working on that and fancies teaming up some time, let me know. I've got 4 episode wins in a row a few times but the random internet partners have messed it up a few times.

@ScarletSpidey congrats on the plat bud… and good luck chasing Stray and Fallguys.

@sorteddan Good work on that Spirit of the North platinum. I've eyed that game up before as something I could play while the kids are around as it looks very chilled.

@ScarletSpidey Almost missed yours as well, congrats. I've played a bit of Ape Escape and the controls are pretty awful, especially if you are doing any platforming so fair play to you on that one.

@ScarletSpidey Congrats on another trophy. Good to see you can now get trophies for games you played a kid but wasnt able to finish

@ThereThere I think I’ll go for as many as I can be bothered getting. I’m enjoying playing through them as they’re just solid fun for the most part. It’s just a shame that Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga doesn’t have trophies as it’s too old.

Ralizah

@nessisonett There's a weird sort of satisfaction to getting the platinum for a truly irritating game. Especially one with crashing issues.

@sorteddan @Lavalera Nice work.

Platinum #41 is Guilty Gear Strive… again.
This time it’s the PS4 version. I already had the PS5 platinum but I’ve been playing the PS4 version because the difference in input latency matters at high level.
Since yesterday, I no longer need to (they fixed the PS5 version) so I decided to get the remaining trophies before I delete it. Most of them I got naturally by playing online, so I mostly needed to do the Arcade mode a couple times (including the ridiculous boss fight).

The_Moose

@Voltan Heard loads about Guilty Gear, I take it it's worth a go?

Congratulations on the 2nd plat by the way.

Voltan

@The_Moose As usually, that depends. If you like fighting games and are into the competitive side of them, it's easily one of the best games you can get right now. I've played it for about 800 hours since launch, so that probably says something.
There's not a lot about it other than the online multiplayer (or offline if you have people to play with) though. You do get an arcade mode and a survival mode for single player but they're not very interesting to be honest.

The_Moose

@Voltan Okay. Quite particular about MP games but I'll check out some gameplay and decide. Thanks.

@Voltan well done dude, I’ve heard how difficult fighting game plats can be!

Lavalera

@Voltan congrats on another plat. 800 hours into one seems really impressive. Except for maybe ff xiv or wow i dont think i ever put so many hours into one game. Thats some real dedication.

PSNid: Lavalera

Voltan

@Lavalera Well it's a competitive multiplayer games, you know how those are.
That said, it's also a first for me, tbh
