@sorteddan Thanks. What I've been playing this far of God of War it's amazing I love these big action oriented games so totally up my alley. Had to fit it in before ragnarok comes and as number 10 seemed to be a good fit.
@RogerRoger thanks you very much. And you're right as long as the game is enjoyable I'll go for the plat, when it doesn't include hard mode or multiplayer trophies that is haha.
@WCB it was my first Gust game to be honest, but I do have blue reflection and some Atelier games in my backlog. I started with nights since that one was on Ps now for a while and didn't want to risk it leaving ps plus before I could play it.
@Voltan ooph that seems like a hassle to play through it 3 times to get a platinum, I already don't like a 2nd full playthrough let alone 3. Good luck with the hard mode and ng+ playthrough
#25 - Lego Indiana Jones 2 via PS Plus streaming. A really really odd game. Feels like it was made by TT’s interns on a shoestring budget. Bizarre structure of individual hub levels, with zero Free Play as there’s revisited levels and bonus levels. Each movie (or part of Crystal Skull) is entirely self contained. It’s just odd. And crap. Every single movie had the exact same elements. There was a vehicle level, a waves of enemies level, a boss fight that didn’t happen in the movie and then a couple of sorta real levels except painfully short. The platinum was an utter chore as well. Did it out of spite more than anything. I never need to play this game again.
@WCB So I did the NG+ run (on easy) - took 4-5h but that's with fully upgraded weapons from the start.
An actual new game on hard will definitely take longer - just because I won't be able to just breeze through combat encounters.
I'll come back to it another day, do it over a couple weekends maybe.
@nessisonett crushing those lego plats lately, congrats, even if Indie 2 wasn't the best. I need to go back to the first Lego Movie game, a glitch locked me out of collecting all the cats or something like that after I finished the story, pissed me off so much I didn't want to restart it lol.

nice one @nessisonett
inspired by you I think I may get around to Lego Barman 3 that is currently on the plus extra tier. Got about 10 days before my subscription runs out so should be doable.

@nessisonett gz on that Lego plat. How are the general trophies? I played the sky walker sage earlier this year but that one seems to be such a long grind grind to get it that I skipped to platinum it
@Lavalera Usually the trophies are just get 100% and maybe a couple of silly ones like ‘Solid Shape’ in Lego Harry Potter for making Snape hide inside a barrel. Lego Indy 2 required you to replay every single story level in the game for the platinum so I definitely don’t recommend that one!
#135 Spirit of the North (PS5)
Very chill and relaxing exploration game where you get to play as a fox. Excellent orchestral score. Chapter select for collectables. Easy and enjoyable and less than 10 hours.

@sorteddan nice dude, think you were on around a 100 at the turn of the year so another 35 by the first week of August is an incredible return, congrats!
@colonelkilgore
Thanks, yeah started the year on 101. My unofficial target was to average three a month so I've almost met that for the whole year already. As you may have noticed I've stuck in a lot of quick and easy ones, helped a lot by a PS plus extra sub which I only paid a fiver for so I could play GoT. That's due to run out next week so it'll be back to the normal backlog then.
How you coping with avoiding earning plats?

Well I’m really enjoying Red Dead Redemption 2 so far… and always wanted to take a time-out and give it the time it deserved at some point, so it’s come at the perfect time. I’m still only on #97 atm, so I’ll be fitting in one plat this month (God of War 3: Remastered) and one in September (The Order: 1886) - so I’ll be getting a ‘drip-feed’ of plat-level dopamine at the very least 😅.
Then I’ll just concentrate on playing RDR2 within an inch of its plat… and maybe do the same on something else if I have the time prior to Ragnarok.
@colonelkilgore
I found Red Dead 2 to be a real slow burner and found it difficult to connect with, once I did it turned out to be an absolute epic great and well deserving of all of the praise I had seen it recieve. It just took some time adapting to its pace I think. Had no desire to do all the extra miles required for the platinum though, so good luck but I already know you will have the determination to see if through.
GoW3 - my main memory was the final battle on the hard playthrough. That was very much a test of ability, dexterity and determination. Got my arse kicked, restarted and felt like giving up sooooo many times!! eventually managed it and claimed that shiny.

@RogerRoger I’m not even kidding when I say that it’s one of the most irritating games I’ve ever played. And it even had the audacity to crash on me several times! Hopefully I have a better time with Lego Star Wars III, which I never played at the time.
@sorteddan I’ve found the odd road-block throughout all the old ‘em]God of War[/em] games tbh, so I figured that 3 wouldn’t be any different. Looking forward to clearing the series from my backlog though, I’ve been chipping away at them for the last 2 or 3 years 😅.
And as for RDR2, I’m really hoping that I don’t get too burned out on it. I know it’ll be a long 3 months… but it is a nice change of pace from how intense my gaming schedule has felt this past 2 years.
