Topic: PS4 recommendation thread

Recently got WWE 2K16 and holy hell is it good. Easily the best wrestling game since the mid-2000s thanks to its huge roster, huge customization options and the excellent WWE Universe mode. The MyCareer mode is really fun, though not as good as NBA's, and I'm enjoying 2K Showcase too - I've already sunk more hours into 2K16 than I have in 2K15.

I think what I love so much about it is how complex they've made it. The submission system sucks, but the new "reversals are limited" thing really improves the matches and keeps them going back and forth. Glad they improved the series after last year's dire entry

@Anchorsam_9: Wow I just posted in the Wrestling thread how much I was disappointed with that game.

@Tasuki: Huh. I'm not a fan of wrestling outside of the games so I guess there are some things in the game that I didn't notice. What didn't you like about it?

@Anchorsam_9: Don't get me wrong the roster is great it's just the mechanics and the story mode with Austin. Basically long story short it didn't seem to friendly for casual players. All the QTE and meters I shouldn't have to go online just to figure out how to play a wrestling game. If you want more clear picture check out the WWE thread.

@Tasuki: That's a good point - I quite liked how complex the gameplay has become, but I guess I didn't think about the mechanics through that mindset. I'm hoping that one of the older WWE games (Here Comes the Pain or the original Smackdown vs Raw would be nice) get ported from PS2 to ps4, because those were much better than the 2K games

@Anchorsam_9: I doubt they will get ported since THQ went under.

@kyleforrester87: Have you seen pillars of eternity - I think you will like it. I've been playing it (properly) last night and earlier, its great. Weird I had to jump through hoops to get it, I backed it on kickstarter and never got it delivered (moved house back to Merseyside), its been sat there for ages but by golly its good. A throwback to baldurs gate and I suppose divinity? Isometric view really good fun.

@themcnoisy: Yeah I was interested in this at one point but I don't have a PC right now and I don't think the Mac version was released at the time, and I kind of forgot about it. Thanks for the reminder, I see there is a Mac version so will give it a go. The only slight turn off is I much prefer the turn based style battle system of Divinity over the real time with constant pausing required in the likes of Baldurs Gate/Icewind Dale/Neverwinter and this.

@themcnoisy: Alrighty after some soul searching (!) I decided to download this on Steam, I was worried because I'm not 100% how well my mac will run it but then I remembered Steam has a refund policy (Which is brilliant!) so it's downloading now. If it works, great, if not, cash back

Hey guys, I got €7 left on my playstation store account, what should I buy for that? I was thinking velocibox or the bit trip but what do you think? Which one should i choose or do you have something better?

Any good Indies? Has firewatch's performance issues been fixed

@WebHead: All depends what youre looking for. Not sure about Firewatch cause I havent played it.

I am thinking about getting a good fighting game, Street fighter IV ultra and Guilty gear xrd are on sale at the ps store. I like the older Street fighter games and Guilty gear looks solid too. Any suggestions?

@DestinationPs Haven't played Guilty Gear Xrd but I liked Super Street Fighter IV. The Ultra version has all the DLCs plus new characters if I'm not mistaken.

Another thing I noticed is that it currently still cost $24.99 in the US PSN Store which is full price.

@WanderingBullet: The reason SFIV got a lower score 2as cause when it was released it had problem, frame rate issuses, lag etc. Which have all been fixed now.

@Tasuki: Cool, I haven't been keeping track on the game since it was released but its good that all the issues' been fixed.

Is it any good? I can get it for less than €30. Reviews seems to be mixed and positive.
