I have been thinking that PS4 games to come on PC as I think they deserve more love than they get. Also it may reduce toxicity and fake news around such great exclusives. I would love to hear from you all

@L3GTRIGA I agree but fear for your safety.

Don't expect it across the board. Select titles, as Sony have said, will head over the the PC, probably a few months after the console release. But I don't reckon Sony will make a big song and dance about it.
Also... nothing can reduce toxicity lol. Sorry.

Not expecting it to be as constant as Xbox games on PC, but they're definitely going to put a few heavy hitters that defined the PS4 generation just to give the PC players a taste of what they'll get if they invest in the PS5 and the ecosystem at large.

I completely expect Bloodborne next.

@TheFrenchiestFry I always disagree with this logic. Simply because to make it truly worthwhile, PC gamers would need to swap over their primary platform. Buying the hardware (typically sold at a loss early in the generation) then buying maybe 1 game a year? No DLC, no 3rd party multiplats, no microtransactions, no PS+? Barely worth mentioning imo.

On topic though, I don't like many 1st party Sony games (in fact I prefer more Microsoft 1st party, but it's maybe 3:2 ratio) but I'd be more interested in potentially trying select ones without suffering the console forms. Low quality, 30fps, goldfish bowl FOV, etc. I had no interest in HZD at all, but on PC with improvements and a 3080, mouse and keyboard aiming? Well......maybe worth my time to see.

And I'd love to be able to play TLOU Remastered (in better quality than PS4 Pro) without keeping my PS4 pro set up. It's the only thing I have on there atm.

@Menchi I don't think completely being converted over to PlayStation would be the intent of these ports. Sony even being willing to bring over their first party catalogue shows that they're starting to become more platform agnostic and open to how neutral the PC platform is to begin with. The intent with these ports is marketing. Like having this massive install base get exposed to their games, and if they like what they played, they can invest in a PlayStation for future games without being totally converted over, because I doubt that will happen. It would be pretty great marketing and advertisment for their games and what their exclusive content has to offer

@TheFrenchiestFry PS Now already has a PC app, if they expand that into select downloads of certain games then they could rake in the subscriptions while still maintaining PS as their main platforms.

@nessisonett I don't see them doing that anytime soon, or at least as frequently as they could. Frankly I was super surprised when they let God of War, Persona 5 and Spider-Man onto the service for more than just a few months. They should totally do that more frequently if they can and with the Steam releases in conjunction with that, it would kinda be like their answer to the way Xbox is distributing their stuff across PC

@TheFrenchiestFry I’m still salty over God of War leaving the service roughly an hour before I would get the Platinum. I love PS Now and have played great games on it but these timed ones have caught me off guard 😂

@nessisonett I mean of course they'd time GOD OF WAR AND SPIDER-MAN

They can't spoil people who aren't on their platform with their platform's games like that

Although I do wish MGS4 stayed as I did play that to completion through there as a result of no longer having a PS3 lmao

@TheFrenchiestFry MGS4 is definitely still there in the UK at least. I dunno, God of War is £16 on PS4 so it’s hardly a £50 release anymore and more expensive games go on PS Now. You’re also streaming the game and so you wouldn’t do that on PC unless you were desperate. At this point in time, I don’t see why God of War couldn’t be indefinitely on PS Now due to it being a few years old at a reduced cost, it’s going to be free with PS Plus Collection and there’s a sequel coming out. Spider-Man on the other hand has a remaster coming out and so it being on PS Now would directly interfere with those sales.

I game exclusively on PlayStation 4 and I don't see any downside to Sony releasing their first party games onto PC. More people get to enjoy their games and they get more money to put towards future titles.

@nessisonett I can see God of War being free with PlayStation Plus soon.

@Bentleyma- God Of War is one of the free ps plus games for the PS5 so I think they will hold off releasing it for free on the ps4 for a little bit longer now
